Make sure you don't let the water well for your live Christmas tree run out of water. If it goes dry, the tree bottom saps over and will no longer absorb water. We've taken stock, and tomorrow (Saturday, Dec 5th) will be our last day open. 10 am to 4 pm. COVID-19 Protocols: Please follow social distancing rules, and wear a mask when this isn't possible.

This curly willow had way too much of a lean to it (into the parking area), and we wanted to make sure it didn't fall on any customers or their vehicles. Down it came today!

This fella's been hanging around for a while. He has one longer antler and one very short one. I took this from the van as I arrived home one day last week.

Here's one of the hawks that swooped in when the otters were feasting - I didn't realize they could turn their heads backwards like owls can!

This was actually last month - we were watching the family of otters catch their breakfast, and a couple of hawks swooped in, but decided to just sit and watch. Eventually a heron arrived for his breakfast too. Only the otters in this video though.

Super hazy today - looks like smoke, but not sure where from. Can't even see the islands! At least it doesn't smell smoky here.

There are actually 6 huge cones on this noble fir - 5 at the top. If only I was tall enough to get a top-down photo!

Make sure you have waterproof shoes/boots if you're coming out to look for a Christmas tree today! We had 20 mm of rain over the past 24 hours, so some areas may be a bit soggy. It wasn't raining a little while ago, but rain is coming down again now.

We're open 10 am to 4 pm daily. Lots of good trees left, including several up to 9' tall. Any tree $40.

We still have quite a few good tall trees left, so we'll be open at least until Wednesday December 11th. 10 am to 4 pm. Still have candy canes left for the kids also!

I've just done a walk around and there are several 9 to 11 foot trees still if you're looking for something tall.

End of day update: we sold lots of trees today, but there are still a lot of good trees left, many of them tall ones, so we'll be open tomorrow, Sunday Dec 8th, for sure - 10 am to 4 pm.

Update: Still lots of good, tall trees left at the end of the day today, but we won't know till the end of the day tomorrow if we'll still be open after tomorrow (Dec 7th).

FYI - we've sold a lot of trees already, and it's possible that Saturday Dec 7th may be our last day open. We won't know till the end of the day Saturday.

Bruce found this nest in a corkscrew hazelnut today - no idea what kind of bird it's from. It's very small. Looks like hair from the steer next door in the middle. Another nest came out of a Christmas tree, but not unusual - probably from a robin.

We're open now from 10 am to 4 pm daily. We're not yet sure when our last day open will be, but it may be as early as Saturday December 7th. This will depend on when we run out of good trees.
