Well hello everyone! What a wild ride that was, Mother Nature was really flexing her muscles yesterday! Wild winds and flooding are always part of operating ...on the water, and this one was definitely one for the record books. Thankfully, the guys had all boats and docks out of the water before the storm blew in and stored boats remain safely on their blocks and stands. Rob and his crew spent the day chasing docks that floated away and even last night chasing an ice chest down the road... we are grateful for all the well wishes and understand all concerns. Our phones and hydro are out right now, and we really do need space within the park to move around freely so cannot permit any admittance at this time, as the guys need to do their work safely. We thank everyone who called and texted and messaged on Facebook, we know we have an awesome group of boaters, and we hope you know, that we are here working to keep things as they have always been for your return in the spring! Be well friends See more

Did you know that abandoned boats contaminate terrestrial & marine environments (if left in water), impact the aesthetics of facilities & areas where they've been abandoned, & pose a safety risk to those that approach the vessel? So if things just aren't working out between you & your old boat, make your boat breakup a clean one! Learn how at www.boatingontario.ca/cpages/abandonedboats

OTTAWA BOAT SHOW POSTPONED TO 2022 For Immediate Release Issued: October 19, 2020... Ottawa, ON For the past 45 years, the Ottawa Boat Show has been the unofficial launch of boating season in the Ottawa Region, welcoming hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of visitors annually. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to postpone this year’s Ottawa Boat Show, which was scheduled to take place February 25-28, 2021 at the EY Centre. The rescheduled event will take place February 24-27, 2022. This decision was not taken lightly, but the health and safety of our exhibitors, partners, visitors, and contractors is our top priority. Additional factors leading to the show’s postponement included the ability to provide a quality audience to the exhibitors and adequate time to produce a successful show. Master Promotions Ltd. would like to thank the Ottawa Boat Show community for unwavering support from exhibitors, visitors, sponsors, and partners. We look forward to hosting an in-person event again when it is safe to do so. We continue to believe in the strength of face-to-face business and networking opportunities that shows provide and therefore will NOT be offering a virtual trade show for 2021. However, in an effort to bridge the gap between the postponed show and the next face-to-face event, our company is excited to introduce a new product: the Ottawa Boat Show Digital Marketing Platform. Over the next few weeks, we will be rolling out a brand-new feature on our website, designed to connect our exhibitors with our visitors in a unique way. The Digital Marketing Platform will be distributed to our audience database of approximately 10,000 past visitors, along with an integrated multi-channel advertising campaign including social media platforms. More information about this exciting new venture will be released in the coming weeks. Please stay tuned for more details. www.OttawaBoatShow.ca Media Inquiries: Moira Pellerine - Marketing & Operations Manager Master Promotions Ltd. You never know what you'll find in the Pollution Probe offices! These coolers, and the waste characterization kits they contain, are on their way to the marinas... that are part of the Great Lakes Plastic Cleanup network! Through waste characterization, the GLPC will be building up research on what types of plastic are finding their way into the lakes, where they come from, what impact they're having on aquatic ecosystems, and how we can keep them out of the water in future.
