"If we're grateful, we're not fearful, and if we're not fearful, we're not violent. Then, we act out of a sense of enough instead of scarcity, and we start to share. We start to enjoy the differences between people, and are respectful to everybody. That can change our society's entire power pyramid." - Brother David Steindl-Rast

A Half Hour Gift: I am feeling a heaviness in society. This could be due to doubt, sadness, anxiety, stress or anything else that may arise from these uncertain times. For the past two decades I have essentially been supporting people in experiencing a lightness of being: body, mind and spirit. These are gifts that I have received from others, and I feel very nourished by passing them forward. So, for the foreseeable future I would like to gift anyone who wishes, the most pre...cious thing I have: My full, undivided presence. If you or anyone you know are looking for someone to share what you are going through, to reflect on ideas, perspectives and practices, please send me a private message. I have made myself available for this: Next Monday, November 23rd from 10am to 10:30am EST. Although this is a gift, if you feel moved to play the game of giving-it-forward, the invitation is to pass on a random act of kindness and invite the next person to do the same. A ripple of kindness like this has the potential to spread lightness around the world, and for generations. (P.S. I will be posting this every week)

The Caterpillar I should have stopped, but I couldn't. I just couldn’t. I consumed too much and cannot move. The impulse was too strong. I.. I should have stopped a long time ago. Now it’s too late. Here I lay, trapped by my own body. A putrid concoction of the most intense varieties of pain and discomfort. Helpless pain. There is nothing that can be done to escape this. Has it been days, or weeks? Encased in my own darkness, it is hard to tell.... What will the next moment bring? Perhaps it will be a stabbing sensation; or maybe another part of my body will stop working; or maybe I am no longer able to feel, anything. That would be a blessing! This ceaseless flaring of pain. How intense will the next wave be? How long will it last? I can’t believe this is happening to me. Seems like only yesterday, I was so healthy and happy. I took my life for granted. I took this body and mind for granted. I did not truly appreciate my freedom. Now I am trapped in this hard and dark case, that my own body built around itself; my own body! I must find solace. This is not good or bad. It is just change. It might not be for me to understand the deeper reasons for this. The sadness in reflecting on how things were is not helping. The fear of projecting on how things may turn out, is not helping. I have to first accept this moment as it is. As it is. Change. This too shall pass. Is that sunlight? Sunlight! The shell is cracking. What is happening.. is this the end? O’ praise this blinding light! I can see trees, and flowers! I am breaking through.. Where have all my legs gone? What is this on my back?... wings! #globalmetamorphosis #BODHI #newbeginning

The Power of Clarity Retreat for Professionals is an invitation for developing stillness in the eye of the storm by Mindspace Wellbeing. As leaders and professionals, we all wish to live rich, aligned, happy and meaningful lives, focusing on what is important to us and our respective communities. Yet, the Coronavirus pandemic has created a prolonged envelope of uncertainty, where work and personal lives got all tangled up and endured significant changes, and where a visceral ...need for connection with ourselves and others has gone unmet. After enduring for a few months this new normal, we noticed through our clients, family and community a noticeable collective strain to return to some form of chosen normalcy. Those ongoing changes allow us to question old ways of doing, and more importantly, of being. On October 2nd, Carl Lemieux and I are delighted to offer this blending complementary ways of developing mental clarity and well-being for professionals within this climate of ambiguity. The well researched Acceptance Commitment Training (ACT) framework will guide our learning journey, while weaving in the ancient wisdom of Eastern philosophies and principles of embodied leadership. This retreat is an invitation to put away all distractions, so we may best explore and experience the clarity that lies within us. Combining the gentle rhythm of mindful movement, experiential teachings and exercises based on cognitive and behavioral sciences, and a nourishing community, our time together in a safe space will be an opportunity to: - Explore and deepen our understanding of the latest research in mindfulness, presence and well-being. - Discover how to release beliefs and habit patterns that are no longer serving us. - Connect to and embody how it feels to move toward those important things in our life valued living. - Learn how it feels to shift away unwanted experiences and develop psychological flexibility. - Experience clarity as a practice. This retreat is a unique opportunity to gather as a small group at the beautiful Tara Center in the Eastern Townships while experiencing: Nature walk Meditation Yoga Workshops Dialogue Circle Silence Deep rest and sleep Nutritious meals When seen as a cultivated practice, our felt purpose and related resistances are best understood through self-reflection, mind/body connection, and inspiring company and nature. Wherever you go, there you are. Jon Kabat-Zinn Date: October 2nd to Sunday October 4th. Languages: Facilitated in English. French exchanges are welcomed. Fees: $425 to 515$ (rooms and meals included) Space: limited to 25 participants For more information please send an email to [email protected] Other: Carpooling will be organized Please note that health precautions will be undertaken to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Look again at that dot. Thats here. Thats home. Thats us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful chi...ld, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there-on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand. It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home weve ever known. Carl Sagan, Pale Blue Dot #perspective

It is perfectly understandable to experience anxiousness, insomnia or just general stress in these uncertain times. In a way, it have never been more important to cultivate calmness. This is good for ourselves (particularly our immune system) and good for those around us. Warm invitation to this 1 hour free masterclass on creating an inner climate that is calm, like the eye of the storm.... Tomorrow at noon EST..

Q: What is the #1 indicator that makes me susceptible to the corona virus? A: Compromised immune system. Q: What compromises my immune system (besides a medical precondition)? A: Its been the same since the dawn of humanity:... 1. Poor diet: Consumption of foods and drinks with insignificant to detrimental nutritional value 2. Low energy: Lack of vitality to charge the immune system 3. Stress: Over thinking that steals energy away from the immune system 4. Stagnation: Dormant, atrophying functioning of the immune system 5. Grieving: The loss of a sense of normalcy, and this dulls the immune system Q: So, how do I boost the immune system to make it virus proof? A: Practice the exact opposite: 1. Consume nutritious wholesome, real foods and drink water 2. Deep breathing ideally in nature, sunlight, grounding (walking bare foot) and cold showers 3. Laughter, creative activities, sleep and meditation practice (all direct attention away from over thinking) 4. Movement of any kind including nature walks, running, yoga, dance, fitness training or just jumping 5. Having meaningful, safe and mutually supportive conversations. Thats it! (Q: Why isnt this all over the media?) #sosimple #giftitforward #strongertogether #BODHI

Home Health Practice during Corona Virus: Day 2 Daily home practice to keep your body and mind in optimum health during Corona virus shutdown. My intention is to release a video like this every day for the next two weeks, perhaps gradually increasing in intensity. Each practice will be made up of 5 parts: asana (mindful movement), pranayama (breath work), dhyana (meditation), gratitude practice, and a tip to help navigate skillfully together in these intense times.... There are many who are going through anxiety nowadays. Please share with all who may benefit. Also, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions and ideas. Sthira-sukham-asanam - Steady and comfortable should be an asana for meditation. It is a technique to sit for a long period of time without movement so that the body becomes still. This physical stillness transfers to mind and helps to meditate. Meditation is a state of existence of the pure soul without having feeling of body and intellect and with fixed mind. #Asana #Posture #Yoga #Meditaion #MentalPeace #Relaxation #Montreal #YogaAtYourHome #YogaAtHome #BodhiPrinciple
