The single leg deadlift. . If you are new to exercise, try without a weight and hold onto a chair (or something stable) with a hand to help keep yourself from falling. . To be successful in targeting the proper muscle groups, make sure you keep the back straight, the chest lifted, and a neutral spine at all times. Hinge from the hips, do not bend from the back!! .
