When you discover a gastroc suspension release on the #guillotine that switches on pelvic floor and releases a very much stuck ‘on’ diaphragm. This release can easily be reproduced with a Cadillac, hanging the legs over a sprung high Push Thru bar with safety chain. The key is finding the sweet spot at Gastroc close to origin, but not where the nerves running behind Poplitius are compromised. If it feels good and you instantly feel your pelvic floor hollow and your breath reg...ulate (diaphragm rebalancing), then you’ve found it. If it hurts, then you need to move the bar further away from back of knee onto a meatier part of the top of the Gastroc. The sensation is the calf is being tractioned whilst the pelvis is suspended. Enjoy, and don’t forget to reset. A rollover demonstrated to me that my #diaphragm was empty and not resisting. It’s 2/4 day ! Working on my #squats, which are never easy for someone with #rheumatoidarthritis, so the heel lift helps immensly. Weak ankles and restricted toes means modify but never corrupt. The lovely dudes next door at the Crossfit gifted me a bunch of private lessons for Xmas, so I’m going to use them to work on improving my squats and my kipping techniques in suspension work.
