Today celebrates Body Kinect Physiotherapys one year anniversary! Thank you to all of my patients, colleagues and co workers; Thank you for trusting me; Thank you for the lessons and stories... Thank you for your laughs Thank you for your dedication! Thank you to all of my family and friends who have supported, marketed and inspired me to become a leader, advocator and lifelong educator in my community. Special thanks to Laura Ryan and staff @pursuitsrctr @shaunahdoc for taking a chance on a physio who has trouble counting to 10 (patients know what Im talking about), laughs too loud and takes two and a half months off in his first year of business. Finally, I must thank my girlfriend, @leahhigginbottom for her ongoing support, love, and encouragement through this year. So happy to be on this journey with you! Day 40: Loading Read it again... ... Now, I understand this is a huge statement. I was debating whether I should post it, however, these questions should be answered with your health care professional. Let me briefly explain.... Everyone has movements or patterns that their body may not appreciate. It doesnt mean its bad. We can make Rehabilitation simple. We can individualize your treatment plan to properly load your muscles/tendons/joint to build a tolerance level that is manageable. Loading capacity depends on multiple risk factors that contribute to your progress. However, if done properly over time, you can improve your function or performance, reduce your pain and get back to the things you love! Remember the basics, progress people with more complex patterns that reenforce the movement while managing their pain while keeping in mind their individual needs, goals and helping them overcome their fears.
