Great news!! The Alberta government has ammended their original mandate for the closure of Massage Therapy and are now allowing the return to work of Therapists under certain restrictions. Please read the following: December 23, 2020... As per the update provided by the Chief Medical Officer of Health, massage therapists are able to resume immediately providing services under the following guidelines: 1. All clients must have either a written prescription from a Medical Doctor, or a written referral from a regulated health professional (https://www.alberta.ca/regulated-health-professions.aspx) This can include your Physio, Chiro, Acupuncturist, naturopath, Dentist etc a. An existing written prescription is only valid if issued within the last 12 months. b. An existing written referral is only valid if issued within the last 12 months. c. A copy of the original written prescription or written referral is acceptable. d. The written prescription or written referral must be provided prior to receiving treatment. e. A copy of the written prescription or written referral must be kept in the client’s file. 2. All previous requirements for hygiene standards, PPE, masks, and other barriers issued by the individual associations will still apply until January 4, 2021. We will release the new Infection Prevention Control Manual for Massage Therapists in Alberta document before the end of 2020, which will come into effect January 4, 2021. We will be continuing with our holiday break for now and will look at re-opening in January. We will be sure to update you when we have a start date. *Please note as you can see above, you will need a referral for an appointment, if you want to book an appointment in the new year please arrange to meet with your regulated health professional. Good evening friends. It is with great sadness that we have been mandated to close our doors again as of this Sunday, for at least the next 4 weeks. We understand that this is the best option that our government has opted for. We hope that it helps curb the rising numbers. We will be contacting the clients who we have to cancel, and will be in contact in the future to reschedule when we know we can reopen. Stay safe everyone, love you all. See you in the New Year.

Hello Everyone! We have missed you all so much. We have been given the go ahead from the government to be able to open as early as this Friday, the 12th. Unfortunately, due to the new regulations and requirements, we will not be able to open on that date. We have been working behind the scenes to get the proper PPE and everything in order to be able to open, but we are still waiting for a few things to arrive. We are not booking clients at this time, but we will as soon a...s we know more concrete times when things will arrive. When we do start booking clients, we will be starting with the ones who had appointments cancelled due to covid and then going down our list. As well, we are required to have certain procedures and protocols in place and will let you know when we book with you what these will look like. Good morning everyone! It has been a while since we touched base with all of you. We want you to know that we think about you all often and miss our sessions together. As most of you if not all of you know the province has announced the reopening process and we are in stage 2 which the date is still to be determined. We are following our government and massage associations very closely to make sure we have the work policy, guidelines and protocols all in place before we open our doors. At that time we will contact those that had their appointments cancelled first and go from there. Things will look and be a little different at Azure but it will still have the same people and care that we strive to provide. See you all soon and stay healthy! To all of our valued clients, In light of the recent developments regarding Covid 19 pandemic, Alberta has declared a Local State of Emergency. This afternoon the Canadian Massage and Manual Osteopath Therapist Association sent an update which included the following recommendations : "As a practicing therapist, you are at a higher risk of coming into contact or spreading this virus, therefore, it is our recommendation that all members of CMMOTA consider postponing your sched...uled client appointments and immediately closing your practice until further notice. We understand that this is not a decision to be taken lightly and appreciate your attention to this matter." This is not a mandatory closure, but to ensure the safety of our practitioners and clients alike, we have made the decision to temporarily close our doors. If you have an appointment scheduled that will be affected we will contact you asap. We thank you all for your understanding and wish everyone well in the mean time.
