I have a problem. I lose my sh*t with my kids way more than I care to admit.... Don't get my wrong, I love those little munchkins, but kids are kids. Do you remember when I posted about my new book a few weeks ago? " * ?" I'm not even kidding, it's a real book. Anyway, I finished it this weekend. First of all, when I got to the pot o' gold at the end of the rainbow (the last chapter where you get the words of wisdom that will cure you from all future sh*t losses) - I realized these were tools I already had. The same things I chat with my students about during meditation every week! One of those things was noticing my triggers. The big one? . Every time, I'm on my phone and my kids wanna play 50 questions - I notice my answers start getting shorter sharper more and more riddled with sarcasm So, whaddya do? Well, I don't know what YOU wanna do - but this is what I did. ' . no Facebook no Instagram no e-mails NOTHING And holy guacamole. I shaved over an hour a day off my screen time. Now my biggest problem is I need to start scheduling times to check my phone. That's not a big problem to have. *? As we're heading into December the timing's perfect. ' - !

? An Im-pasta. But seriously, I've dealt with imposter syndrome for a LONG time - might have something to do with 51% in grade 9 gym actress turned fitness pro and studio owner.... This lead me to . Before I was done one training, I would be planning my next one - always feeling like I didn't know enough. There's so much conflicting information out there, and I was direction-less. When I finally zero'd in on my niche - starting in prenatal yoga + fitness and then landing in pelvic health (and oh gosh am I ever fascinated with the pelvic floor), that imposter syndrome started to fade. 10 years, my friend. I've been in the fitness industry for over 10 years and only now am I realizing, "HOLY CRAP, I KNOW MY STUFF!!" Why am I telling you this? Because if you're just starting your fitness journey - ' , and you might be in that learning phase: buying all the books snagging all the online programs getting all the equipment But have you started yet? Sometimes we need a littles guidance and to be pointed in the right direction. Personal training could be that compass - and ' , depending on your needs. And it shouldn’t be. People seem surprised when they see me doing my own thing - since I teach so many classes a week.... But here’s the thing, the classes are for YOU (not me). , - . When I hit my mat, it’s my chance to explore and work on my own goals. Sometimes I get a little inspiration that I know you’ll love, and I bring it to class. But it’s all about me in these moments. Some call it selfish, I prefer self-care. And if you’re seeing your co-worker crushing their #goals , it doesn’t mean that you’re not the workout type, you just need something a little different. While there’s a time and place for group fitness - sometimes you need all eyes on. . Taking that first step can be pretty scary though, yeah? ' I've contemplated a tattoo for a few years to remember my lost children, which is big because I don't consider myself the " ". Originally, I thought of getting " " on my wrist, which is the French way of saying "I miss you", but it literally translates to .... I think it's the most beautiful expression of "I miss you." I'm glad I took the time to think about it, because eventually I realized I didn't want to just honour my losses, but celebrate all my children - loss, birthed, and bonus kids. I came across @kristinevodon who works out of @boomtown_tattoos , and fell in love with her work. I knew she would bring my idea to life beautifully - and she didn't disappoint. There's so much symbolism in this tiny piece. , because one year we somehow ended up with bunches of them in our front garden, and Sienna used to pick them for me and call them "Don't Forget Me's". I'm also an Athazagoraphobic. It's the fear of being forgotten. This isn't about me, but about those who are no longer with us being forgotten. Two flowers on the main branch to symbolize Sienna + Audrey. Two flowers on the secondary branch for Keira + Aidan. And two buds for our angel babies I'll never know their laugh. I'll never know their smile. I'll never know their likes and dislikes. But they'll always have a piece of my heart, and it’s so important for me to carry this reminder with me... always. ' - . . " ' " - I hate this quote. And I've totally been guilty of using that one too many times in my fitness classes over the last decade. However, in my particular case... I actually do need it.... Let me start by saying: " -" ... . I've tried all the hacks, and regressions, and they just never resonated. But after spending the last month and a half rehabbing my Bicep Tendon, we finished my last visit with some techniques to make sure I don't end up with rotator cuff issues. Enter... the Pull-Up. , ... , , . Keep in mind, this video is sped up to 3x it's normal speed... because I know I only have your attention for so long (let me know in the comments if you made it this far). ( ' ). Stress can creep up where you least expect it - like your pelvic floor. Studies have shown that the pelvic floor get SUPER tense during the jump scares in horror movies.... Tense pelvic floors could be the reason reason you pee your pants, and how you react to your prolapse. We need to find opportunities to relax. . Especially when supported with a few simple props. Blocks to support the knees if they're floating in the air. Rolled blanket under the neck. When you're supported, it's so much easier to get the full experience of a pose. Oh, and arms overhead - just feels so much better than arms glued to your side. Give it a try for two minutes, and ENJOY!

Avoiding drinking water worrying you'll have to go really badly with no bathroom in sight? This has happened to me multiple times. , ' , ' , ... .... Woah, that sentence was full of Canadian-isms. I get the logistics of avoiding drinking in an effort to save yourself from embarrassment, but here's the thing, ' . Avoiding liquids this makes your urine super concentrated, and this irritates your bladder. Your bladder only communicates two messages, "I gotta go" and "I gotta go NOW!" So, your bladder may only be half full (or less), and it's sending out one of the aforementioned signals. You finally get the opportunity to relieve yourself and the smallest amount of pee comes out and you're thinking, why did you think you had to go sooooo badly. = You’re avoided drinking water, so there was not much to get rid of in your bladder! Here’s the thing, There’re few places with no bathrooms, we just don't wanna be inconvenienced of it. , . Wait... is that legal? I'm not sure I'm actually allowed to say that...

... ’ , - I first heard this quote from @sweatysuccessfulmoms or maybe it was @barefootmamas, either way it changed the way I view being outside, and you should go follow both accounts.... Back to being outside, Sienna's bus stop is almost a km away from home - which means a 20 min walk on tiny legs. I contemplated putting a request for a closer bus stop, but two things changed my mind. 1 it's a good opportunity to get outside twice daily - especially helpful when winter sets in 2 our dog Chloe has really bad joints, and this the perfect length walk for her It's been pretty tempting to get in the car and drive, especially on rain days (see below), but being outdoors, connecting with nature, and moving our bodies helps all of us show up a little better, and a little happier. Plus this one still naps as long as I give her the opportunity to burn some of that toddler energy. And that, my friend, makes it oh so worth it. . , . , ' .

Yes even now.... ... . fingers stay in contact with the floor (except when you pass the hip) focus on twisting through the mid back notice where you feel the sensations in your body Twists have so many amazing benefits like improving digestion detox maintaining spinal rotation reducing back pain de-stressing So what're you waiting for? Find a comfy spot on the floor, and go for it... unless you're at work... then maybe wait until you get home...

We celebrated our love in front of all 4 of our kids (one in the belly), family, friends, and a few strangers 3 years ago on a beach in Bayfield - one of our favourite places. We'll be celebrating with a low key date night - because, yeah it's still hella important in our household, and we haven't had as many lately.... Live isn't always easy. we're a little unconventional, and he's always supportive of my crazy ideas. ' . ' I truly couldn't imagine my life with anyone else - he's what make it all seem worthwhile. , . .

Just like you, I wanna protect my kids at all costs - but I also want them to thrive.
