COVID Vaccine Update General population vaccinations start this week in Niagara! All individuals 80 years of age and older can now schedule their COVID vaccine appointment with Niagara Region Public Health. Public Health run vaccine clinics are scheduled over the next 4 weeks throughout Niagara. Appointments can be made online or via telephone. (1-888-999-6488)... Please pass this along to anyone you know that is 80 and over! We hope to be immunizing patients in our pharmacies soon but unfortunately information, availability and timing changes daily. Stay tuned for more information as the mass immunization campaign rolls out in Niagara! If you can get the vaccine, any vaccine from anywhere we advise that you do so. This Christmas is looking to be an especially difficult and lonely one for our senior population. Holiday gatherings are out of the picture and with rising COVID-19 levels throughout Niagara seniors should only be making essential trips out of the safety of their home. To limit contact and reduce COVID-19 transmission this year will be different than others. Have you seen this good girl hanging out at Boggio Pharmacy in Port Colborne? This is Kiyomi. She’s a 6 year old black lab that can often be found hanging out in the accounting office (and sometimes the dispensary) at our Port Colborne and Niagara Falls locations. Kiyomi is always hard at work providing moral support and kisses for staff, cleaning off plates in the lunchroom and protecting our accounting team when bringing deposits to the bank.
