I captured this image during my two weeks photographing with a preproduction Nikon Z 7II as some early snow dusted the fall colours. High winds blowing spindrifts off the mountain, the camera’s amazing dynamic range allowed me to capture this difficult exposure of shooting towards the sun in one shot. I am very honoured to have had the opportunity to shoot with the pre-production Nikon Z 7II. It is the most versatile camera I have ever used and I am just thrilled with what I was able to capture with the camera in a short amount of time. This is one of my favourite images with the Z 7II and new 14-24mm 2.8 S lens. This was created in one shot all in camera. I used a custom light wand made with plastic pipe with a sparkler attached to the end, coloured gels and a powerful... flashlight. I painted with light behind the model. Special thanks to Annie for braving the sub zero temperatures on this cold starlight night in just a dress for this shot!!!
