The Additional $20K for CEBA is now open for applications with the financial institutions. There is an attestation required on this one for "facing ongoing financial hardship", and having made reasonable attempts to adapt the business to COVID-19 (and reduce expenses), an intention to continue the business, and the use of the fund for specific purposes (non-deferrable eligible expenses for 2020 or 2021). Applications open until March 31, 2021. https://ceba-cuec.ca... Thank you Juliet!

Pretty cool offer through FundThrough if you are having trouble collecting on your receivables. This can help bridge the gap between invoicing your clients and getting paid.

Happy Birthday Baby Girl! I’ve often talked about how being laid off after maternity leave was the reason I started this business, but if I dig a little deeper I could have fought it (labour standards) or even gotten another job. But I didn’t. I took what felt like a crazy risk because it was worth it to try and create a flexible schedule to be home more with the kids. ... It’s always been my dream to be home when the kids get home after school. Although I’m often still working after they are home from school, I’m home, and if they need anything I’m there. Thank you honey bunny for inspiring me to be brave so that I could be home with you kiddos more. It’s not perfect, and I’m always working on being more present, but especially through this covid experience I’ve never been more grateful I made the choice I did. Happy Birthday

I always time block out my day the day before, but then when Im too tired to get up at the crack of dawn, it makes me feel like Ive failed before the day has even started. Today I needed the solitude of sitting out back with a coffee and doing a little soul searching. #theworldisfullofmagic Im trying to remember that I planned my day once and that means I can plan it again. Instead of starting my day behind I choose to start my day now. After some #peace #coffee and #...deepbreaths. Make me feel better - how did you start your day? Was it as expected or have you had to tweak a few things on this #humpdaywednesday xoLisa

Needed some solid #focus time... got it at 1am! It felt so good to get some things checked off without feeling guilty working around the kiddos. I love the flexibility of working when it suits me; which lately is a little too much, but its amazing to have the option to work in the middle of the night if I want to. #latenightentrepreneur #zen #deepwork #tomorrowmightbehard

What's another Friday without another tip? Bookkeeping can be a surprisingly dry subject, I mean, we don't think it is, but turns out many others think that! When we post on social media we tend to keep it somewhat personal. We want people to feel like they know us, for better or worse, when they are following along. We could be really professional and keep it related to tips etc, but I want to share our story and we hope that by following along you will feel like you relate... to us as people and a business. Enjoy the weekend! Xo, The Bonfire Bookkeeping Team

How can it be Friday already? The days are flying by lately. Our team has come up with some more business tips that we wanted to share with you. Choosing one of your favourite business books, whether it be your first time reading it, or a re-read, can generate inspiring ideas when it comes to working.
