Bonivital Soccer Club 24.03.2021

A reminder that if you’re looking to play REC soccer, you now register through Bonivital instead of your Community centres, for the WYSA REC league. It’s the same program, only with a centralized registration. Still provides friend and coach requests. Be sure to register for the upcoming outdoor season. #BVSC @manitobasoccerassociation @wpgsoccer @dakota_community_centre @winakwa @champlaincc.ca @ngcc_knights @niverville.storm.soccer #southdalecc

BVSC Sunday spotlight with Victory Aregebasola. I started playing soccer since I was 9 with Winakwa soccer then I joined bonivital a year later with the U10 team I’ve made a lot of friends in this club and i can even call them family. Ever since I joined Bonivital I fell in love with the game and with my amazing coaches and teammates I’ve gotten better at the game and I do my best to improve my game everyday. In the past year my u15 team won MSA CUP and also came 4th at the 2...019 Toyota National Championship. Then my U16 team went undefeated. I’m currently a student at Glenlawn Collegiate in grade 11 I played on the schools Jv basketball and volleyball team. I enjoy listening to music I’m really into fashion I like going on runs. I am also on the watch of several universities and excited to see where I’m continuing my soccer and academics. #BVSC #bonivitalsoccer @manitobasoccerassociation @wpgsoccer See more

BVSC Friday focus with Brooke McNab of our U14 girls program. Brooke has been playing soccer since she was 4 years old as a Timbit. She then played Rec with Southdale before joining Bonivital. She enjoys going to tournaments in Fargo and Minneapolis for the USA cup which was one of her favourites! She has made many really good friends from playing soccer, which will be friends for life! Brooke is a great team player willing to play any position that needs to be during a game..., even keeper. Brooke has also reffed for the last two years and really enjoys it. Outside of soccer she also likes volleyball, skateboarding, and Skiing! Brooke also enjoys school with math being her favourite subject and wants to be a teacher someday. Brooke is extremely excited for the season to begin so she can be with her team and start playing games again. #BVSC #bonivitalsoccer @manitobasoccerassociation @wpgsoccer @manitoba_soccer_referees #winnipegsoccer #soccer See more

For our players that enjoy a skate, be sure to get your blades sharpened at Royal Sports. For those that want to begin skating, check them out as they have a great stock of skates available. Give them a call and let the great staff get you all set up. And while there be sure to stock up on our Bonivital gear. #BVSC #bonivitalsoccer #skating #hockey #sports @royalsportspembina @kings_sss

BVSC Friday feature with Elliot Swenarchuk ! Elliot began playing mini soccer at age 3, then joined Southdale CC playing Timbits and then moved over to Bonivital where he has been playing since U9. He is currently a winger on the U14 P1 Team with Coach Travis Nesbitt and Jeff Guay. Elliot’s team in 2018 won the Gold medal at the Tri Cities tournament in Fargo. They also travelled to the USA cup in Minneapolis to play and were runners up in the 2019 NSC Cup in Minneapolis. I...n 2019 Elliot was part of the U13 P1 team that won the Cambrian Challenge Cup - City Championships. From the age of 9 Elliot played for the White Caps pre prospects and in 2019 was part of the squad that travelled to Vancouver to participate in the U14 combine. Unfortunately the pandemic had other ideas and they were unable to travel again to Vancouver in March 2020 or even to England with his Bonivital teammates in August 2020. Elliot’s favourite team is Tottenham Hotspur (sorry Coach Travis) and his favourite players are Son and Neymar. One of his prize possessions is a photo of Elliot playing soccer signed by Neymar and Danny Alves. His goals are to go to College on a soccer scholarship and hopefully play at the highest level possible one day!! Elliot cannot wait to get back on the pitch soon. #BVSC #bonivitalsoccer @manitobasoccerassociation @wpgsoccer #soccer #winnipegsoccer See more

Friday focus with Bonivital United Keeper Scott Smoke Scott hails from Charleswood where he began his soccer career at age 9. A Keeper from the start Scott graduated to the Portage Trail(now known as St. Charles) when he was 13. Through his Premier years The Bonivital Flames were his fierce rival every season and he never thought he would ever play for the enemy one day! But that’s what happened when he was asked to join Bonivital United of The MMSL when he was 18. Along his ...soccer journey Scott was selected WYSA player of the year in 2008 and was a Manitoba Provincial Team member at ages 13-15& 17. Over his 13 years of minding the woodwork for Bv United Scott was an integral member when the team was promoted to The Premier Division in 2016. The teams near miss in the 2019 MSA Cup finals would be another hilight that he will always remember. Scott graduated from the U of M and is a Phys Ed Teacher at Prairie Ross Elementary School in Tyndall Park. Scott was a key member of United's coaching team for the very successful Summer Soccer Camp held at Memorial in 2019 and looks forward to being part of that program again in the summer of 2021. At 5’9 Scott’s mantra has always been HEIGHT doesn't replace hard work and mental toughness #BVSC #bonivitalsoccer @soccermmsl @manitobasoccerassociation @wpgsoccer See more
