Donor Dollars at Work The convenient Enthermics ivNow fluid warmers quickly heat and maintain safe temperatures of intravenous and irrigation fluids while saving space and staff time. They improve processes and recovery time by efficiently warming patients from admission to discharge, reducing surgical site infections. Our Foundation funded $21,276.50 for IV bag warmers in the Bonnyville Health Centre’s Emergency, Operating Room and Acute Care departments. Donor Dollars at Work Tragically, the Bonnyville Health Centre sees 1-2 babies born still per year. 1 in 4 of our pregnancies result in miscarriage, and 30% end in fetal loss. With your donations, we were able to fund $4668.00 for the purchase of a Flexmort CuddleCotTM in our facility. This CuddleCotTM is a machine that pumps cold water through a pad lining in a bassinet keeping a baby cool and slow the changes that occur after death. This gives the family precious time to ...create invaluable memories with their baby that will facilitate the grieving and healing process for the whole family. Say hello to Rejean Bourget, one of our new Board Directors! Rejean was raised in Bonnyville but currently residing in Edmonton, attending his 3rd year at University of Alberta for his Education degree to one day become a high school teacher. Although, Rejean still spends much of his time in Bonnyville visiting with friends & family and to support local causes. Rejean’s charitable efforts did not go unnoticed this past summer, like initiating a fundraiser of firewood sales w...hich raised over $3000 for our Foundation & the Bonnyville Extendicare. Or, creating a 60km bike ride fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society raising $8,085 for cancer research. In his spare time, Rejean likes staying active and being outdoors such as running, biking, hiking, skiing, and anything that involves volunteering and helping others. Rejean joined our Board to give more of his time and effort to those who need it most. His goals are to bring more fundraising opportunities to our town so the Foundation can continue supporting the Bonnyville Health Centre in its mission to provide local quality health care. We are grateful to have you Rejean!

This year has been challenging and difficult for so many individuals, families, our health system, our workforce, and in spite of it all we have received the most tremendous amount of support. This year has taught us that our world can change so quickly and interrupt our lives in drastic ways, but we all want the same thing in the end, to come out stronger and knowing we did everything we could to help those who need it most.
