Books on the LRT 08.11.2020

Today is National Carers Day. Did you know that 1 in 4 Canadians are carers? We all know someone either personally, socially or professionally who is a caregiver. Without them, our health system would be faced with increased costs in the billions of dollars. The contributions they make monetarily, socially and emotionally are invaluable. Caregivers are often referred to as "invisible health partners," but they can no longer, must no longer, be invisible. Books on the LRT has partnered with local author Rick Lauber to share his book, Caregiver's Guide for Canadians. Rick has cared for both of his elderly parents and written extensively about elder caregiving. Stay tuned for more information about Rick's book and when and how you might find a copy for yourself!
