Boomerangs Cafe is now hiring. We are looking for an experienced prep cook. Must be self motivated and eager to work. Duties include: Chopping, slicing, dicing vegetables.... Running meat slicer for meats and cheeses. Prepping burgers, steak, chicken. Some sauce making. Putting away stock daily, involves heavy lifting. Boomerangs Cafe is taking a long weekend. We will be closed Monday May 18th and Tuesday May 19th. We will be reopening at our (new) regular time 8:00AM Wednesday May 20th for delivery and takeout only. Stay tuned as we be slowly reopening our patio and dining room in the near future. Wow, thank you Port Alberni for your overwhelming support. Thank you for your patience as we try to navigate the new norm. Our apologies to those of you that have waited longer than usual for your deliveries. Our phones have never rang so much. Sorry we had to stop taking orders tonight because we were so backed up. While too many customers sounds like a good thing, we don’t want to disappoint them. We thought we had scheduled and planned appropriately but then the government gave everyone $$$. We actually ran out of take out containers, thx Circle Dairy for coming to our rescue yet again. We will continue to do our best to serve you all and learn what works and doesn’t as we rebuild our business in these crazy times. Cheers Darren & Laura

I’m not sure if people are aware that my husband Darren and myself have decided to stay open to do pick ups and delivery’s as an effort to help those who are in need of our services, in saying this we are all trying to adapt to the new normal and being as cautious as we can as we continue to move forward. We have signs on our door as to what we are providing and a sign as you walk in for a pick up to not go any further as the social distancing obviously needs to be acknowledg...ed, I thought I had it all figured out... sanitizer wipes by the door, portable debit machine etc.... please be patient as we are still working to serve you all as efficiently and safely as possible. Until further notice, BC restaurants can only offer take-out and/or delivery services. This order was announced by our Provincial Health Officer to enforce social distancing and help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

After careful consideration and concerns over COVID-19 we have decided to close Boomerangs for eat in dining starting Wednesday March 18th, 2020. At this time we will continue take out and deliveries. We ask that take outs be phoned in in advance to avoid large groups of people. Hopefully this will be over sooner rather than later and we can get back to normal. I’d like to take this time to thank you for your support.... Stay safe.

Vancouver Canucks Vs Anaheim Ducks Sunday, February 16th, 2020 3:00PM... Lower Bowl Section 111 Row 18 Tickets are available at Boomerangs Cafe Friday, January 17th, 2020 and will be drawn Tuesday, January 28th, 2020. All proceeds will donated to the NSW Rural Fire Service volunteers. Huge thank you to Alberni Auto Group for such a generous donation.

As I'm sure everyone is aware, my homeland has been devastated by drought, extreme heat and some of the worst, uncontainable wild fires in recent history. Boomerangs Cafe wants to offer some help and will be holding a Fundraising Burger & Beer weekend later this month. We hope to raise a little money to aid the brave people fighting Down Under.
