Quick trip down to Newberg, Oregon to go through our system on Presicions' #AS350 This ship was outfitted to provide fully compliant #HEC equipment for the USFS short haul program. It's always a pleasure working with such great people. All USFS short haul machines will be equipped with our equipment by next week. The FAA has released a Safety Alert for Operators relating to their Human External Cargo Operations. The FAA brought this up at the UPAC meeting in Las Vegas and from the looks of it they are standing their ground on the use of unapproved equipment. The link is included below if you are interested in reading it. I also included their recommended action directly below for easy reading. We are happy to help provide approved equipment for anyone affected by this. Recommended... Action: Part 133 rotorcraft operators, public aircraft operators, and government agencies are prohibited from conducting HEC operations with attaching means not certificated to HEC requirements contained in parts 27 and 29. To ensure operators are in compliance with regulations, they should be familiar with the information contained in this SAFO, AC 133-1B and evaluate 14 CFR part 133, Rotorcraft External-Load Operations, to ensure compliance with properly certified attaching means for use with HEC and current regulations https://www.faa.gov//sa/all_safos/media/2018/SAFO18004.pdf

Rescue @ 18,000' with Boost Systems. Monique Richards, the first solo female to summit Mount Logan required rescue on her descent and was very lucky to have other climbers near by to assist with the rescue. Parks Canada rescue specialists from Banff were flown in to assist with the rescue using Horizon Helicopters, Inc. B3 and our dual hook HEC system. Without the assistance of fellow climbers, Parks Canada, and tremendous flying by Cole Hodinski the outcome would have been very different for Monique. http://www.cbc.ca//no/richard-mount-logan-rescue-1.4690895 #AS350 #H125 Airbus Helicopters Canada #HelicopterRescue
