Mark your calendars! Next week, November 24, is our third Earl Robinson Memorial Lecture: "Tilting at Windmills" with Commissioner M. Christine MacMillan. The webinar is free but you still need to register. An inspiring and effective advocate of social justice for all, Commissioner M. Christine MacMillan has been a Salvation Army officer, holding appointments in five countries including as Territorial Commander of the Canada and Bermuda Territory. In July 2012 Christine was selected by the World Evangelical Alliance to serve as their Senior Advisor for Social Justice. She sits on various boards, including an appointment by the United Nations in serving on the UN Multi-Faith Advisory Council. It's been a while since we've posted a #FilmFaves with Dr. Boyce. Yet, we figured now would be a good time since many of us are looking for new (or old) films to watch during these #StayHome times: "Michael Curtiz's 'Casablanca' (1942). This is my favourite film, hands down. I have seen it over 50 times and will still happily watch it a couple times a year. It's a brilliant story of love and sacrifice." Do you agree with Dr. Boyce? With the new Code Red restrictions, we have some library updates that will begin Monday: The library remains open to students, staff and faculty Mon-Fri, 8 am-4 pm for in-person services, including if you want a quiet place to study.
