Border City Connects

Border City Connects started in 1980 when a group of community members took the initiative to explore a solution to the transportation needs of community members with mobility challenges. The Kinsmen Telemiracle Foundation at that time had a grant program that was instrumental in providing part of the initial capital and the community group raised additional funds to purchase their first wheelchair accessible unit. This gave citizens with mobility challenges an opportunity for more freedom and independence. We've included a lot more programs since then! Have you taken the plunge yet? This year we are asking you to decided how you want to take the plunge, maybe you will swim in a pool filled with ice water. We are raising money to help improve our services. Currently, we are offering three services, the Border City Express, the Border City Car-A-Van, and the Border City Shuttle. ... The Border City Express offers rides to mobility challenged individuals. The Border City Car-A-Van provides rides to both able body and physically challenged people who need a ride to an out-of-town appointment. Border City Shuttle provides a safe ride after a wedding or a concert. Don't forget to post you video by Thursday, April 1st. Make sure you tag us.

Did you know you can win prizes during this years Polar Bear Splash! If you enter online at https://www.bordercityconnects.com/polar-bear-splash/ and raise the $200 fundraising goal, you will be entered into one of three categories, High Donation Amount Raised, Best Video/Best Splash, and Best Costume! Wow! What beautiful weather we are experiencing! But what about the Polar Bear Splash? Well, it's kinda hard to jump into snow when its melting... so, maybe we jump and play in mud, or a mud/snow combo! Your imagination is your only limit.
