He has also had more than seventy performances of his films featuring live elements orchestra, sound effects, singing and narration, world-wide. He is a Member of the Orders of Canada and Manitoba and is the recipient of numerous Canadian and international awards, including an Emmy, two Geminis and a Genie. In 1995 he was the youngest artist given the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Telluride Film Festival. In honour of his 65th birthday (today!), The Criterion Channel will be streaming all of his films.
