Wonders 2020 International Poster Competition Jury Member : Eric Boelts From Usa... Eric Boelts is the owner of Brain Bolts. He has a BFA in graphic design and an MBA in entrepreneurship and marketing - both from the University of Arizona. Eric’s passion for teaching blended with his interest in the intersection of art and business in the world of design has led him to lecture at universities and colleges around the USA and internationally. Eric has garnered hundreds of awards in design competitions, with a focus on posters, throughout the world including the Czech Republic, Bolivia, Mexico, England, Canada, Russia, Poland and the USA. Eric is a member of design and marketing organizations, serves as a board member for agencies and companies and has judged design competitions internationally and domestically. Eric currently resides in Boulder, Colorado and is married to a genius jewelry designer with two amazing children for whom he cooks the world’s best spaghetti sauce. He runs long distances, paints with watercolor, is addicted to basketball and can both draw with a pencil and use a spreadsheet.

Wonders 2020 International Poster Competition Jury Member : Anna Klos From Poland... Born in Warsaw. She specializes in poster design, book design and non-commercial collages. She finished her diploma in poster and graduated with honors in 1999 under professor Julian Paka and professor Mieczysaw Wasilewski. In the same year she has begun her didactic work. In 2007 she got her phD degree at Art Faculty of Maria Curie-Skodowska University in Lublin for defending her doctoral thesis ‘Dadaist collage as an inspiration for my artwork’.In 2002-2010 she worked with the publishing company Bertelsmann Media where she designed hundreds of book covers and layouts mainly for high-volume titles. She took part in numerous contests and group exhibitions. Since 2008 she has been teaching graphic design and giving lectures on history of graphic design in Warsaw School of Information Technology. Since 2010 she has acted as proxy of the dean at the Graphic Design faculty, she is also a member of the Senate of the University and of the Faculty Council for the term 2013-17 and 2017-21. In 2012 she received the Medal of the National Education Commission. In 2017 she was in the jury of International Poster Competition ‘Escucha mi Voz’ organized in Mexico under the patronage on UNESCO and in 2018 she was in the jury of international poster contest Ecuador Poster Bienal. She is a member of China International Design Educator Association (C-IDEA). Her professional interests include not only poster but also contemporary painting, graphics and art market. She is the founder and owner of Retroavangarda Gallery in Warsaw, Poland. In 2019 Anna Kos became a curator to a second gallery WIT Gallery in Warsaw located in the building of the school she works at.WIT Gallery’s main goal is to present pieces of students and professors by organizing international exhibitions.

Elizabeth Resnick is a Professor Emerita, former chair of Graphic Design and current part-time faculty at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Boston, Massachusetts. She earned her B.F.A. / M.F.A. in Graphic Design at Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, Rhode Island. Professor Resnick is also a passionate design curator having organized seven comprehensive design exhibitions (several with co-curators), with the last four centered on socio-political graphic design: The Graphic Imperative: International Posters of Peace, Social Justice and The Environment 19652005 (2005); Graphic Intervention: 25 Years of International AIDS Awareness Posters 19852010 (2011); Graphic Advocacy: International Posters for the Digital Age: 20012012 (2013), and currently traveling: Women’s Rights Are Human Rights: International Posters on Gender-based Inequality, Violence and Discrimination (2016) which investigates the gender-based inequalities deeply entrenched in every global society. Her publications include catalogs for the exhibitions, plus The Social Design Reader, Bloomsbury Academic (2019), Developing Citizen Designers, Bloomsbury Academic (2016), Design for Communication: Conceptual Graphic Design Basics, John Wiley & Sons Publishers (2003) and Graphic Design: A Problem-Solving Approach to Visual Communication, Prentice-Hall Publications (1984). She has also published articles, reviews, and interviews in EYE, Graphis, Grafik, IDEA, Tipografica, AIGA Journal and Design Issues.

Originally from the state of Puebla, Mexico is a graphic designer, he has a specialty in audiovisual communication, a master’s degree in political communication; José Luis Hernández Díaz Chepe is a creator by vocation. Within his work he has developed, brand design, campaigns.advertising, social, cultural and political; The design of the poster has led him to have national and international recognition, and to be selected in Biennials and triennia in various countries. He was the winner of the international award for! Design and winner of the first place in the international contest International Year of Volunteers convened by the UN and the visual plot.The countries to which he has traveled, exhibited and published his work are: Argentina,France, Spain, Bulgaria, South Korea, Japan, Bolivia, Warsaw, Iran, Slovenia, Russia,China, South Africa and Mexico, Finland, Cyprus, among others. His series Love and respect for animal life is part of the permanent collection of the Advertising Museum in Paris. Wonders 2020 International Poster Competition Jury Member : Rujiyanto From Indonesia... Born in Temanggung, Central Java, Indonesia 55 years ago. Completed undergraduate and Master in the field of Visual Communication Design at the Indonesian Art Institute Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta Indonesia.Since college in 1983, he has been actively participating in Poster Exhibition and Art Exhibition activities in various cities in Indonesia. After being active as a professional, he worked more in the field of Graphic Design and focused on Branding, especially Logo and Packaging. Currently, apart from being a Branding Consultant and Graphic Designer, he is also a Lecturer in Visual Communication Design, School of Design, BINUS University Jakarta. Many of his activities include working in the field of branding for small medium enterprises in Indonesia, working for poster exhibitions in Indonesia and several countries, such as in China, Iran, Mexico, Spain, Turkey, Russia, USA. Currently, as the founder of API (Artistika Poster Indonesia) an idea is to provide an open space for Indonesian poster creators in spreading Indonesian messages through posters.

Wonders 2020 International Poster Competition Jury Member : Markus Weisbeck From Germany... is a graphic designer and Professor based in Frankfurt am Main and Weimar. He founded the Design-Studio Surface in 2000. Weisbeck has lectured and participated in numerous international conferences on design related subjects and has taught at various universities including the UDK Berlin, University Darmstadt the HGB Leipzig, Paju typography Institute PaTI in Korea,Taiwan Tech in Taipeh, Hubei Institute of Technology, summer Academy Hangzhou, China, Y-Festival Macau, and has been teaching as Professor for Grafik Design at Bauhaus in Weimar since 2011. He is frequent jury member in design competitions worldwide and part-time writer for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Frieze and Form in the discipline of Grafik Design. Since 2013 he is an official member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale. He established "The Space for Visual Research" as a workshop and laboratory for experimental research into new graphic, abstract and visual worlds at the Bauhaus-University Weimar in 2013. The Space’s mission is to support the exploratory urge for new aesthetics, in particular by empowering design students to create their own individual imagery. His design projects include the art direction of the Museum für Moderne Kunst Frankfurt am Main, the Forsythe Company, Luma Arles, Fogo Island Arts, Documenta 11, the corporate identity for Zumtobel, the Jewish Museum Frankfurt, the Städel Architecture Class, the German pavillion, Venice Biennale 2007 and 2009, the 7th International Architecture Biennial (BIA) São Paulo, Manifesta 7, publication series for Sternberg Press and many other books for (individual) artists.

Wonders 2020 International Poster Competition Jury Member : Olga Severina From Usa... Olga Severina is a Ukrainian born graphic designer and an exhibition curator currently residing in Los Angeles, California. She is the founder and curator of a PosterTerritory project that launches socially conscious poster exhibits that promote poster art and a belief that a poster has the power to change the world. After obtaining her Ph.D. in Visual Arts Olga became involved with an International Eco-Poster Exhibition The 4th Block (Ukraine) and an International Graphic Design Biennale Golden Bee (Russia), where she served as a curator and a selection committee member for a number of years. Currently, Olga works for both poster exhibitions as the traveling exhibit curator in the United States. A few of her latest shows are: The World According to Love (Australia, 2019), Bauhaus 100 (USA, 2019) and The New Winds (co-curated with Majid Abbasi, USA, 2018), Biophilia Poster Competition and The World After poster call.A passionate promoter of the contemporary poster, Olga Severina is an author of poster books and catalogs as well as articles for magazines like NESHAN Graphic Design Magazine and AIGA LA chapter blogs, where she explores the latest trends in visual expression.As an artist, Olga Severina participates in a variety of poster shows and exhibitions worldwide. Most recently she took part in Cow International Design Festival (1st place) and Posters on Politics exhibit (artwork named one of the five most powerful political posters by the Daily Detroit).
