I am now a published author, as well as creator of History Check. My name is Sheila Willis and my passion for Alberta's history started when I learned about the multitude facets of it in my own neck of the woods, Smith AB. Our small hamlet of 148 people was once the main thoroughfare north. History Check has taken me on a personal journey of building an app to highlight that history. It started out to put northern Alberta history where it happened on the map based mobile a...pp,. That grew to include the entire province, along with tourism attractions and services, me being the driving force of what is still essentially a one woman show - but sometimes you just gotta go back to your true passion and that is sharing Alberta's history.
