We are a moose hunting family, we live for the outdoors and love to share the experiences with others. A fly in moose can be a family trip! This is a couple pics of Katelyn on her first fly-in moose hunt at 10.5 months old. We have a few spots still open for a 2020 moose hunt. We have openings at our outpost camps and also spike camps set up for moose hunting only. If you are still trying to find your destination for this fall let us know.
There is much more to a fly in fishing trip then just the fishing. How about sunrises like this to start your vacation!
Fly-in fishing trips with Boreal Forest Outfitters have a lot more to offer then just great fishing and beautiful cabins. Kids have a blast as well!
Been seeing a lot of these guys lately!
Auger Lake is our most northerly camp at 110 miles north of Nakina. Auger is located just a few miles south of the Albany River and just a few miles north of the Attwood river system. At Auger you also have the opportunity of fishing 2 portage lakes where we have boats and motors waiting. Here you will find Walleye, Northern Pike and also Brook Trout in the Petawa creek which flows into the Albany River.
Would just like to let everyone know that as of tomorrow there will now be a food truck in the yard at Pennocks!
Sue, Chloe and a Super Hero getting our Hurst lake camp ready for guests this weekend!
With the current border closure we have a couple open weeks in prime fishing at our Hurst lake camp on the Attwood river system. If you are Canadian resident and have wanted to fish Hurst but have not been able to get in now is your chance!!
With the border remaining closed for another month, we have weeks available at our beautiful Kag Lake outpost camp.

A beautiful evening for fishing at Melchett Lake.
We have been seeing a lot of moose lately, here is one crossing the runway today! Watched a cow teaching her newborn calf how to swim from the air on the weekend as well. If you are thinking of a fly in Moose hunt we offer fly in hunts in WMU’s 17, 16C & 18A
Pike are biting great! Hope we get to have some guests soon!
Katelyn washing the floats getting ready for the ice to go.
Don’t think we have ever seen temps like this while some lakes are still a little hard. This is Kagianagami lake this afternoon, we may have been able to sneak into camp but we will wait a few more days.
Katelyn latest promo clip!
Went out and got some docks in today. Ice went quick. Hope we get the go ahead to have guests soon!
While we wait for the lakes to thaw, figured we would get out and do some shed hunting! Here is a few that Katelyn found, non of these are a match.
Still 11-12 inches of ice here in Nakina, the forecast shows a lot of below freezing weather in the next week. We have our fingers crossed that ice will be out by opener!
Still have a long way to go.

The days are getting longer which is a sure sign spring is around the corner. Have you started your packing list for your fly-in trip this summer. Consider shedding some serious weight and leave that bottled water at home. We recommend bringing a water filter system for your drinking water needs, there are many types but these gravity bag systems are our favourite.
Can’t wait for this years season to start!
Merry Christmas to all our guests, family and friends. Hope everyone had a great day!

Whiteclay Lake is an absolutely huge lake, about 13000 acres, on the Ogoki River System. It boasts amazing walleye and large northern throughout the season. There are two comfortable cabins with a central shower house, suitable for larger groups.
Another stop on the Attwood River system is Hurst Lake. It is a single cabin, private lake with a comfortable 2 bedroom cabin for groups of up to 8. Exceptional walleye and northern pike fishing as well as lake trout. There are brook trout in the Attwood River on the outflow of Hurst Lake as well.
Guerin Lake is on the Attwood River system. It is a single cabin, private lake for groups of up to 8. There are 3 smaller portage lakes with boats and motors for additional fishing opportunities. Guerin and the portage lakes are all known for fantastic walleye fishing and large Northern Pike. There are also brook trout in the Attwood River.
Bellsmith Lake is the perfect spot for smaller groups or couples. It is a private one bedroom cabin with all the comforts of home, good for groups of 4 or less. This single cabin lake has plentiful Walleye and Northern Pike, which don't see much fishing pressure.
Another addition to our camps is Auger Lake. It is also a 2 bedroom, deluxe log cabin outpost for groups of up 8. Auger is an excellent Walleye and Northern Pike fishery, with additional fishing opportunities on 2 portage lakes. There is also brook trout fishing on the Petawa Creek which flows from Auger Lake to the Albany River.
We are pleased to offer our new camp at Kag Lake. It is a 2 bedroom, deluxe log cabin outpost which sleeps 8. Kag lake is an excellent fishery with Walleye, Lake Trout, Northern Pike and Brook Trout.
