Someone asked about this print in the last month or so...It has been out of stock for a while, but I just got another bolt today. I wasn't sure if I'd ever get another one...it has been on order for at least a couple months. Message me or text me if it is still on your wish list.
What a scary experience. If anyone out there is in a position to help this family gather the funds to put their lives back together after a house fire last night, I invite you to do so.
Jeanie Askham's gnomes have really taken off! You can now get one for every theme, or season, or holiday. I tried to share her post from Kenora's Buy N Sell, but, clearly, I am challenged when it comes to technology! These are a couple of her latest for the next holiday of the year......... If you're interested, you'll have to look her up on Facebook or Kenora Buy N Sell...sorry, I don't have a link to add.
Well, I wish I could say that was fun. This is a long one, but I hope you'll read through to the end. Thanks for your suggestions...I have to be honest...some were only mediocre, some good, a few great, and a couple I thought were keepers. Next, I brainstormed with some friends, and came up with a few more options. Then I brainstormed with my dictionary, my thesaurus, and my file of quotes. I ended up with 5 pages of possibilities. Some of your suggestions led to other possi...Continue reading
..............................THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED................................ I NEED YOUR HELP! I am seriously thinking of changing the name of my store. I chose the name Born to Quilt for my longarm quilting business when I sold my gift store in 2003. I have tried just about every kind of sewing there is...from upholstery, to bags, to active wear, to bridal, and everything in between (except regalia). But when I joined the local quilter's guild, I found my true l...ove! I believe I was born to quilt. So, when I opened what I thought was a quilt shop in 2015, it just made sense to use the same name...or so I thought. I have come to realize that my business name left many non-quilters thinking that I had nothing to offer them. I know, and you know, that is just not true. So I think I need a new name that reflects the diversity found here. I think the right name could help anyone who sews anything feel like they could find a friend here... as well as the supplies, and maybe even advice, they need for whatever it is that they are sewing. In my Feb. 5 post, I just threw a phrase out there...Sew Much More. Though it has a ring to it, and tells a bit of the story, there are several stores across the U.S. and one in BC using that name already. I need something that tells the person walking/driving by what they can find through my door. Something that invites them to come in to take a look. I would prefer to find something that no other store across the country, or North America, is already using. Can you help me come up with a winner? Sew...put your thinking caps on friends. There's a prize in it for the first one to suggest the new name chosen for this establishment... Enjoy a $200 Shopping Spree on me...right here at your favorite sewing store! And the boxes keep coming! See what made its way to my door over the last 2 weeks... Some old favorites we've all been waiting for, as well as some new treasures too.
Someone asked to see what I have in "feathered" fabrics. This is the current selection. The two on the far left are flannels, the rest are regular quilting cottons.
Last weeks arrivals...... Special requests, re-orders, and lots of fun flannels!
Just in!! Many customers have been asking for the new polypropylene mask filter fabrics. I just got 3 large bolts today. Available in light and medium weights, it is 60" wide, and $4.25/m for the light, and $6.25/m for the medium.
Bolts and bolts of fabric arrived last week! Here are the highlights... Not pictured are the dozen or so bolts of black and white solids!!
This is a different kind of remembrance for today. But every bit as important as the veterans we remember.
