Ford entered its Bronco R race prototype in the Baja 1000 for the second year in a row, and this time the Blue Oval's off-road machine finished the race. INDIANAPOLIS The IndyCar Series will continue running the same engines each of the next two seasons. It also will be working with the same two engine manufacturers, Chevrolet and Honda, into the foreseeable future. IndyCar President Jay Frye announced Saturday the three parties agreed to delay the introduction of a new engine until 2023 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Tesla’s Autopilot feature is getting a new trick. Autopilot will soon be able to drive through green lights automatically, even if there isn’t another car in front of the vehicle, Electrek reports. As with past Autopilot software rollouts, Tesla is being cautious. LONDON Renault will meet their obligations under the rules if Red Bull asks for an engine supply after Honda leaves Formula One at the end of 2021, the French team's boss Cyril Abiteboul said on Friday. Honda announced their departure earlier, leaving Red Bull Racing and sister team AlphaTauri seeking a new power unit supply for 2022. The sporting regulations state that "each manufacturer must, if called upon to do so by the FIA, supply at least three teams." The Rolls-Royce Wraith coupe undergoes a long-roof transformation in this custom by Niels Van Roij Design, and the result takes the name Silver Spectre Shooting Brake. It turns out the Wraith looks particularly fetching as a shooting brake, as these pictures attest. DETROIT Traffic deaths in the U.S. fell for the third consecutive year in 2019, the government's road safety agency reported. The downward trend is continuing into this year with people driving fewer miles due to the pandemic, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Thursday. The agency says deaths fell 2% last year, to 36,096. That's 739 fewer than the 36,835 fatalities reported to the agency in 2019. We just had our first look at the next-generation 2022 Honda Civic hatchback via some patent images, and now CivicXI.com has unearthed even more renderings, this time of the sedan version. As expected, the front portions are about the same, but we're surprised to see how similar the two cars are up until the cargo area.
