Finally finished the NS white elm coffee table. Got a really nice gloss to the top coat. Legs are attached with threaded inserts for ease of removal and reinstall. Got a chance to get off the ship just for today. Finished a few new boards which are available at One Of A Kind Furniture, Decor & More . 2 more tables in the works and I say, farewell to Nova Scotia once again for a few days. Will be back in the shop shortly.

Not a lot getting done right now, working on a few custom orders and trying to get a few boards done in the evenings while the ship is along side. Makes for long days but woodworking is relaxing.

Finished a few boards tonight! Olivewood, NS Maple, Ontario Walnut, and a multi wood cutting board. More on the way.

Just some rough sanding tonight, nothings finished yet but hopefully by Friday I'll have a few new ones. The larger colorful cutting board is a custom request but the two smaller ones will be available.

New patio table for a good friend. I learned a lot from this build, like how to completely under estimate a job :) Between 12 and 15 hours labour. Its solid and should survive the elements. We stained it then did 3 seperate coats of spar urethane (sanding in between each) on all 6 sides of every board before assembly so hopefully it will not rott. The request was for a pine top and it has a pine skirt on it. Sanded and routered all boards, held together with deck screws and e...ven siliconed over them so that there are no places for moisture to get in. Im a bit crazy but didnt want to see screws so everything is attached from the inside except for 8 finish screws on the skirt. The olivewood table is finally finished, threaded inserts installed for the legs so they can be detached with no damage to the wood. The size is approximately 21" at the widest point x 57" long x 17" tall. Hairpin legs with a single slab of olivewod, @ecopoxy and pigments used to fill the holes and then flood coated after it was finished. The bottom is also sealed. So dad finally took down this oak stump in the yard. Its about 5 feet long, my hand is about 8". Did he wait for me? No he just threw it on the dolly and moved it across the yard himself... 71 and not supposed to be doing heavy lifting.... kids, they just don't listen :) I can't even guess the weight. @ Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia

Haven't had much for sales lately, custom orders still welcome. I decided while renovating the basement that we could build a #hideaway or #readingnook for my little guy. I watched a few youtube videos of how to build skate board ramps and dad an I got to work. #socialdistance was maintained, dont worry. The original plan was to go on the floor, but then the misses @maritimerunnin said it should be bench height, so we added the frame underneath and raised it up. She got to wo...rk painting the walls as I installed them on the frames and we inserted each as a prebuilt piece. Still have drywall to mud and finish but it's almost there. Will hope to post a finished photo soon. Threaded inserts arrived today, super fast only 2 days. Why are they so neatly arranged? I washed every piece in scalding water and soap that came in and then dried them. It may be overkill but I'm not taking chances. Anyway stay safe and we'll see if I can get some tables put together shortly.

Just built myself a slab flattening base with some square steel and angle iron and an old pallet. Works beautiful with the router, still have to trim off the edge of the slide rails but left an overhang on the base so I can set it on sawhorses and flatten stump bases. Going to replace the wood holding the angle iron to something more solid. Insomnia sucks but atleast I can be productive. Hey look there's a shop under all that sawdust and mess :) I wired in new lighting and 6 new circuits for the shop, no more extension cords. Slow and steady... the table is moving along. First shot is the bottom side, rest are the top. These pics were from tonight when I sanded to 220 grit, wet the grain and re-sanded at 220 again. Finally getting back to this horrible mess of a table. Wanna know what happens when the caulking doesnt fully set and you pour epoxy? Yeah.. lots of fun and alot of routering and sanding. About 60% complete, only sanded to 40 grit to take off the big stuff. Hey everybody, sorry wont be sharing a whole lot right now. Dad and I just finished laying new floor in the basement and travertine, my neighbour and I put in a new window, and now I'm out in Victoria BC for 2 weeks with work, you know the real job lol. Oh look a work area, who knew that was under all the sawdust and mess. Still in the works, cramming everything into the back corner of the garage so we can still get the cars inside for the winter.

Finally back to epoxy work. Love working with my partner @dominixdesigns Just picked up some EcoPoxy and poured our live edge olivewood slab. This will be a coffee table when complete. Now to wait 4 days for the epoxy to set.

Picked up some 'new to me' tools from a very kind and able bodied 93 year young woodworker. He was still going up and down the basement stairs to his workshop when we picked up this awesome belt sander, 6x48" an 3500 rpm. He told me I would eventually forego the planar for this, I'm starting to think he was right :) . Also bought his 15" bandsaw. Hoping to get back to work soon. @ Truro, Nova Scotia

With the exception of the two olivewood pieces the whole round of boards is local #novascotia wood from @thehardwoodtree mill. Impressed with the quality and uniqueness of pieces I purchased. It's been a busy 3 days with dad and @maritimerunnin . Tore down his old screened in deck. It was almost as old as me at 33 years old. Regular lumber and timbers still standing.
