Morning excitement at the lake!! Daughter on her way down the stairs to breakfast runs back and says Mommy, mommy there’s something climbing the tree come see come see.... what is it?!? Reminder to our renters and all those enjoying lakes every where else... Please ensure you secure the boats at all times when not in use and return them at the end of your stay to the tree line. Wind caught the canoe off the top of our dock leading us on an unplanned adventure on the lake to find it this morning.

Leaves are starting to change colour!!

Good Morning Monday at the Lake

Wednesday’s treats of Funnel Cakes and Deep Fried Mars Bar courtesy of Linda located weekly in the parking lot of Ruperts Variety - Polly’s Grocery. As the little guy says It’s yummy in my tummy.

We have been watching our new neighbours the last few nights swimming and playing together in the water. Tonight caught a video of one out for a swim while on our dock.

So calm and peaceful today on the lake

Paddle around the lake to explore wildlife today. Camera wasn’t quick enough for the turtle or the heron today.

Another beautiful weekend wrapped up on Hampel Lake. Also I think our momma of 4 littles are almost ready to take flight. She snuck up on us with her nest and eggs. We have been watching them grow before we can clean up her soon discarded home as they are starting to make a bit of a mess .

I have a true weakness for their butter tarts! Stop in and try them or one of their other delicious options while visiting!

Restaurant Patios are starting to open up with social distancing in place and take out is available if you find yourself not wanting to cook while enjoying your stay at the cottage! Crows Nest is located a short drive away in Restoule
