Last night was EPIC! We had a blast planning the first annual hockey draft event for Epic Investments. So much fun was had! Thanks to @melissa_penney_photography for snapping all the great shots, @jasonwstrudwick for being the host with the most, @mercerscatering for filling us all with yummy (and beautiful) eats, @specialeventrentals for setting up the space, @corychristopher for adding the finishing touches, @oliviasings for attempting to do fast math for two hours and @bubzdesign for the spot on invites and event signs. Happy International Womens Day! Is there a woman you absolutely admire? Who is it? I am blown away on a daily basis as I watch the women around me bloom and inspire me for various different reasons. From leaders in the public eye to the ones who quietly support behind the scenes, lets celebrate all of you. Currently Im burning the candle at both ends and an really happy to have a tribe of amazing women to support me and my commitments as I struggle to keep it all in the air. We had a few people asking what is the roof-topping you speak of? Its a celebration to mark the final cement pour to note the completion of the roof, a huge feat in a high-rise. Today we celebrated this event right in our hood. The Edgar Development MacLaren is topped, next step is construction completion and an opening date this summer. Today we were SO lucky to be a small part in helping Go Auto orchestrate a full on Ronald McDonald House Charities Alberta takeover! First was lunch prep and service, visiting with families, and THEN, we brought in the Go Auto partner you likely all recognize @mcdavid97 to present the house with two brand new shuttle vans, which, according to house residents is such a HUGE part of making their stay sm...ooth. The shuttles relieve stress, financial burdens and also the volunteer drivers become part of the support team that help alleviate a few items off their very strained minds.
