Packing orders has been a big dilemma since our very first beginnings. How to use as little packaging while still making sure our products get to you in good shape and with a professional feel? We have tested and tested different options. We are not perfect, and we work every trimester in decreasing our waste. What we offer right now is the best trade off we could found knowing that the best packaging is the one that doesn’t exist. So here is a break down of what you will r...eceive when you order from us. Every order will first be assembled together with a natural kraft paper, which can be recycled or composted. That kraft paper is sealed with a compostable sticker printed by @noissueco with vegetable ink. We will then include a thank you note written on a post card printed by @sobezone with vegetable ink. This card is also compostable. Finally the whole package will be shipped in a @betterpackagingco compostable mailer made from corn. When we say compostable, we do not mean biodegradable (which leaves smaller plastic particules in the environment). It is great to know that our packaging will leave no trace. However a couple of notes need to be explained. 1. Our packaging is compostable only through your municipality composting facility. Not to be used for at home composting. The packaging we include will decompose after approximately 6 months. 2. All compostable items should not be added to your recycling bin. If you do not have a municipality composting station at home, please use your composte bags for your bathroom garbage etc. Composte bags can be very problematic for your local recycling centres. Using mindful packaging is a very difficult process and we can say from experience that nothing is perfect. However, we can guarantee one thing... we are working on making this aspect of Mini-Cycle better and better. This will change with time as more services and product become available.
