This year we had the Bowden High School Rodeo Club donate a cheque to the Gymkhana Club to help with prizes! Thank you so much Amy Shuckburgh & Kayla Kelly for thinking of our little club & making such a great donation to our kids!!!

The last gymkhana for the summer was a great one!!! We had 54 kids come out today with their families & we had a blast! 20 of those kids were in the 3 & under Our buckle winners this year 3 & Under Gracie Poffenroth... 4-6 Leadline Alice Hoar 4-6 Non Leadline Lexi Sande 7-10 Raelynn Sande 11-15 Racheal Anderson THANK YOU to everyone who helps out, does gates, entries, ribbons, timing, takes pictures, announcing, set up & take down of events. Especially those who come to cheer on the little ones making it that much more exciting for them! It always runs so smoothly because of you! Each kid was sent home with a new lawn chair that says BGC on it, we hope you enjoy them!!! See you next year!!!

Tomorrow is our first Gymkhana of the summer!! We welcome everyone who is looking to gain confidence & try new things with their horses with their families. Concession will be open! 12pm start... $2 an event Events - Poles - Thread the needle - Barrels - Goat tail untying/tying (7+ have to tie) Age Groups - 3 & Under - 4 to 6 lead line - 4 to 6 non lead line - 7-10 - 11 to 15 - 16+ Western attire is mandatory Entries will be taken starting 1045am on west side of the arena by alley. We are low key, encouraging, ready to have some fun group! Looking forward to tomorrow!!!

We had an awesome year end Gymkhana today!!! Thank you to everyone who came out & enjoyed it with us!!! Thank you to Jamie Davies, the Rimby Rodeo Princess, for joining us today. Jamie Davies use to come to our Gymkhanas a few years ago & we are grateful she has given back to our club by helping out today! Thank you to the Bowden Ag Society for their sponsorship all year long & everyone, Melissa Burton, Megan Wiancko, Corey Anderson, Len & Deb Anderson, Michele Brewster who help all year long to make these days happen!

We’re so excited for the year end Gymkhana TOMORROW!!! Concession will be open Ribbons, Prizes & BUCKLES {thanks to the Bowden Ag Society} will be given out after There also will be a wind up supper for everyone & their families after also thanks to Deb Anderson in the concession {we will have a donation bucket for her for the meal}... Today we had our biggest group of kids in our 5 years running! There was 66 contestants that came out today to ride & spend time with some family & friends. Thank you to everyone who showed up & helped out, it wouldn’t run so successfully without you. There was just under 30 entries in the 3 & under! We LOVE seeing so many cowboys & cowgirls starting so young! > Please help out or switch other parents off the gate duty & helping setup events. Thank you to Meredith Hoar for coming early & taking entries & calling at the gate today with little ones attached! For September, we need someone to help with entries, at the gates & writing ribbon cards please!!

we had the BEST day today!!! There was over 50 kids that came out today to enjoy the sunshine & have some family fun with their horses! We’re so proud of each & everyone of these little guys, in the 3 & under we had over 25 kids in the class! HOW AWESOME IS THAT! Thank you to all the volunteers & parents for showing up & giving your kids such an opportunity! See you in August!

We are looking forward to Sunday! Age groups for our gymkhanas are as follows: 3 & Under 4-6 7-10 11-15... 16+ Leadlines and non leadlines are separate classes for 6 & under Western attire is required Events are barrels, poles, thread the needle & goat tail untying/goat tying. Each event is $2 Gymkhanas always start at noon 12pm Sunday's! We appreicate kids (And Parents) help with the take down and set up of events as we are a smaller club and have GREAT help over the last few years! Please share with ANY family who just wants to ride, we are low key, open to lead line at any age & just want them to feel comfortable coming and learning and spending time with their horses! There also is a concession open, which has been a huge supporter over the years for our final gymkhana and appreciate if you visit it for lunch and snacks during the summer!

It's going to rain, it's going to be pouring by the looks of it! Farmers & Ranchers are thankful for this rain but as for or first Gymkhana, it's going to have to be CANCELLED. We want to keep this fun & enjoyable for everyone, not cold & miserable! If it was just alittle wet we would go ahead but it is suppose to rain all afternoon & that’s no fun with little ones. If it’s really wet we won’t be having it. If it hasn’t rained much we will try & still have it! Will be a wait & see by clouds at Bowden right now!

For Sunday - We will be needing an announcer - any teens like would like to try it you are more then Welcome too! - We will need a timer person to sit with the announcer to write down times off the electronic eyes. - then just some help with the in and out gates! ... You are not expected to fill the position for the whole Gymkhana (other then the announcer) parents can switch off and help & helps the day be enjoyable for everyone!!!

happy Friday! I am looking to book our summer gymkhana dates, starting in June through to September having 1 a month on a Sunday. Before I picked dates & check with the Ag Society I am looking for a small groups input for dates that are willing to help out & make the gymkahans happen! (Arena help, gate people & help with entries, ribbons & year end prizes!!) If you are interested in helping (is super easy, just very much needed) please comment & I will include you in ...a private message to help pick dates that work for most of us putting it on. We’ve had a GREAT 5 years doing this & always find the best help so please let me know if you can help out & make some fun days for kids, their horses & their families!!!!
