As a result of the lockdown tennis courts are shutdown at this time. There is a petition to allow for the continuation of outdoor recreational tennis. Click the link to support if you are interested and to learn more about why the Tennis Ontario supports this https://www.tennisontario.com/
The board of directors (only missing one last night) are planning good (COVID-19 safe) things for this year at the BTC! Stay tuned for the updated calendar.
March 25, 2020 Hi everyone, The Municipality of Clarington has announced "All municipal playgrounds, play structures, skateboard parks, basketball and tennis courts, and sports fields are closed until further notice." In the interest of public safety and everyone's health the BTC Executive has made the decision to temporarily close the courts. We will be taking down the net and there will be a sign posted at the court. We are optimistic that this will be a temporary measure and once the curve has been flattened we will be able to get back to playing. I would refer you to https://www.clarington.net//covid-19-information-and-updat for updated information from the Municipality of Clarington.
Clarington Sports and Leisure Fair: This Sunday, March 8th 1:00 - 4:00 at Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex in Bowmanville. Drop by and say hi to two of the Directors Mackenzie and June and if anyone would like to register early, you are more than welcome.
Another Blistery Week in Bowmanville To look at the weather outside and the upcoming forecasts it is hard to imagine getting out and playing on our courts. Although there are some hints of a warming trend! However, many of our members are honing their skills indoors or in warmer climes. Tennis weather may not be around the immediate corner, but rest assured it is coming. [ 102 more words ] http://bowmanvilletennisclub.com/2020/03/05/625/
