Walked out to Kibbee Lake yesterday....not much snow yet and the portage hasn’t improved a bit! Water is still running over parts of the trail!
Dec 5th, 2020 Playing on the ice!.....with the ice?.....playing anyway!
Clam, crisp, clear....today the lake is starting to skim over (Dec 2)! Not sure if it will stay though.
GOOD MORNING Dec 1st! What a gorgeous morning....let the sun shine ! PS...logging trucks are now hauling past our doorstep so drive accordingly if coming out here (read that as stay on your own side of the road and slow down!).
And now, the last day of November.....the month in a nutshell....rain; snow; wind; rain; snow; wind; some sunshine; water levels rise; water levels go down (but still higher then usual); no ice formation; no hard freeze; and today more rain! Tada! Hope you enjoyed my November in Bowron postings!
How about a day’s jaunt to Ghost Lake, after your Bowron paddle! Nice drone footage, thanks for sharing!
Tigger’s enjoying the new stuff on the ground!
A peaceful Saturday! I could listen to the music of the lake all day! Nov 28th
Such wonderful close ups Thomas Drasdauskis! True works of Art!
Gorgeous picture Thomas Drasdauskis!
About 10 days ago, when the weather started to turn iffy, we took all the tomatoes out of the greenhouse and put them in our living room windows, with the hopes of ‘ripening’ all the green fruit! Sure diminishes our view of the lake, but today I harvested the first crop!
Just posted and now official.... the BC Parks Reservation System at Discover BC will not be opening for the 2021 season until January 1, 2021. This is to give them time to see what happens with Covid-19. Bear River is going to follow suit, well not really... because we usually don't open our reservations until the new year (I like an actual break), but following suit sounds good . Good to see we are all on the same page!!
The colors are fantastic! Nice Thomas Drasdauskis, Bowron Lake Photography!
Although smoke has been in the air all week, this morning is by far the worst. Smoke is coming from the Oregon and Washington wildfires.
Funny how the colors change when Fall sneaks up on us! Incredible picture Thomas!
Very interesting! Thanks Thomas!
Thomas’ quotes are as magical as his photos!
The Herons have been gathering at this end of the lake again! An end of season ritual I always look forward too! Great photo Thomas!
Stunning! From Thomas!
Bit of a report on the Goat River Trail, on the NE corner of Bowron.
