Word on the street is I got a pretty slick llama logo Let's dive into the background of this little guy for a minute. For me, the logo is pretty much a first impression, I wanted it to give off the whole vibe I was trying to portray with BVE. Something that got your attention, something fun, and something memorable. I wanted people to think about the llama after the fact.... Going with the whole Peru theme, a Llama had to be right choice. Lucky for me, llamas happen to be a hot commodity at the moment. He needed a Chullo (Andean style hat) because of course Here is the progression of the Empanada Llama. Notice how much chubbier he gets as it goes along. The first one I just whipped up on pen and paper, I wanted to go with a funky cartoon feel from the start. The second one I actually put onto the 2019 BFM chalkboard menu. I added the 'Excelente' because, well, you've had them right? Number three I actually made on the wacom tab that I got and rarely use. This llama was the one I wanted as my final logo so it had to be refined. It got fatter from putting back those delicious BV emps. The empanada itself had personality and I shed just a bit of light onto my dark sense of humor. I had to send this off to a graphic designer to add proper lines and colour as I am not as comfortable on a digital tablet as I am on pencil and paper. I told her the 'Bow Valley Empanadas' text was the best part and that was the ONLY thing I wanted to keep, sadly she insisted other wise .... The Final product - the logo you see today. Theresa Wolf did an amazing job with it, although I wish she had kept my original text

(I WILL BE EXTREMELY BUSY SO BEST TO CALL)... 2 Go to the Pick Up Tent through the park (NO WAITING IN LINE two tents down from the Empanada Tent towards the River) 3Call when you arrive and I will sprint (literally) down to the pick-up tent with your fresh order! Now, Bow Valley Empanadas only teams up with the tops of the tops - The Secret Shake Company .... um, well that's it so far, but that's not the point! BVE is proud to promote Frankie D’s Donuts Small batch, yeast donuts about the size of a cereal bowl! Frankie is their awesome labradoodle who is a big focal point of their brand.... A generous portion at a respectable price! They also do dog friendly donuts that are reasonably smaller than the human version The girls were kind enough to bring me a sample of their maple glaze and old fashioned glaze. I was going to share them with other people but they didn't make it through the afternoon. My partner who doesn't even like yeast donuts almost polished off my maple glaze without even realizing it! I let her keep most of it, she seemed to happy to take it away. Bow Valley Empanadas approved. No doubt about it. This Monday August 24th we will be restarting our frozen deliveries to Canmore, Exshaw and Dead Man's Flats! Unfortunately the Town of Canmore has decided that August 27th will be the final day for the Canmore Mountain Market I apologize to the Canmore patrons for any inconvenience this causes. Fear not, if you are craving empanadas, you can enjoy them in the comfort of your own home! Check out our pinned menu at the top of our page and let me know what you would like to order for Monday. Last orders at noon of the same day please!
