We don’t do green power for the trend. We do green power because we care. We are proud to provide local, Ecologo certified green power. Though it's obviously an environmentally friendly certification, many don’t know what Ecologo certified means. It certifies that our power meets the criteria set out by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) that are based on multi-attribute, life-cycle-based sustainability standards.

Looking for ways to reduce your power consumption this winter? Take a look up! The lightbulbs that you’re using could be costing you. As your light bulbs burn out, make the effort to replace them with energy saving LEDs. Though the initial price tag might be more expensive, these lights are definitely worth it. Not only are they more energy efficient, they last 3-25 times longer.

We have a cool ceiling fan trick for you: during colder months position your fan blades clockwise. This way the fan will be pushing the warm air from the ceiling down to the floor and redistribute the heat where it’s needed most.

Grilling and barbecuing is the way to go for enjoying summer nights and, so your A/C doesn’t have to work overtime. Think about it, you don’t warm up your kitchen by having to use your oven or the stove, which keeps all of the heat outside. There are multiple ways to cool down in the summer that don’t involve you switching on your A/C (and using more electricity than necessary). Your good ol’ ceiling fan is great to cool you down at night, just make sure the blades are rotating counterclockwise to push the cool air down.
