Though it's obviously an environmentally friendly certification, many don’t know what Ecologo certified means. It certifies that our power meets the criteria set out by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) that are based on multi-attribute, life-cycle-based sustainability standards.

It's FAQ time! What areas does Bow Valley Power offer power to? We offer service to all customers in Alberta, except those serviced by an independent (operated) REA. We also provide natural gas services to customers who have delivery of their gas from ATCO Gas or AltaGas.

Did you know that you can bundle your internet with your power? In addition to clean energy, we’re partnered with Q Wave, an Alberta based provider of high speed internet services. As a Bow Valley Power customer, you can now bundle your electricity and natural gas with Q Wave internet and save!

Looking to make the switch to green power but afraid it’s going to be a long process? No fear, it’s pretty simple! (We promise!) All you have to do is choose the plan, rate, and percentage of green energy you wish to purchase. All we need is some billing and service information after that, and you’re all set!

We have a marketing associates program! This program gives current customers the chance to earn a little extra income by referring family, friends, and colleagues to sign up with Bow Valley Power. They will save money on their utilities, you will earn some money, and together we can share the benefits.

Looking for ways to reduce your power consumption this winter? Take a look up! The lightbulbs that you’re using could be costing you. As your light bulbs burn out, make the effort to replace them with energy saving LEDs. Though the initial price tag might be more expensive, these lights are definitely worth it. Not only are they more energy efficient, they last 3-25 times longer.

We have a cool ceiling fan trick for you: during colder months position your fan blades clockwise. This way the fan will be pushing the warm air from the ceiling down to the floor and redistribute the heat where it’s needed most.
