The Village of Boyle requires a Full Time Utility / Equipment Operator / Labourer Position Details: ... The Utility/Equipment Operator/Labourer is an integral member of the public works team and shall report directly to the Superintendent of Public Works. Your responsibilities will include all aspects of public municipal maintenance service such as water distribution, wastewater collection and wastewater treatment. You will be required to learn and maintain the Villages street and road maintenance, street valve repair, fire hydrants, storm sewers, snow removal, grass cutting as well as Arena and recreation facilities operations. As the Utility/Equipment Operator, you may be required to operate all types of equipment including but not limited to, bobcat, backhoe, grader, and snowplough as well as assist with regular equipment maintenance. The position requires a positive can-do attitude and a willingness to learn new skills. You will be required at all times to follow and adhere to policy safety procedures. The position involves occasional weekend/on-call duties as well as manual physical labour, in cold/hot and inclement weather conditions. Operators must hold a Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver abstract. Qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants with: Certification in either Level 1 Water Treatment Wastewater Treatment, Water Distribution, or Wastewater Collection and willingness to certify Experience in various equipment operation and maintenance Q endorsement (Airbrake Certification) or willingness to obtain Gas distribution maintenance experience and willingness to certify Any related combined training and education with a willingness to become certified in more than one discipline of Maintenance Service Worker The Village is willing to train the right individual, regardless of qualifications For further information please contact Mr. Robert Jorgensen at 780-689-3643 or email [email protected]. Third Street Light Project The Village of Boyle is moving forward with the 3rd Street light project next week. Fortis Alberta will be starting work on the installation of the new upgraded light standards on 3rd Street and the removal of old light standards. The expected start day is March 8, 2021. The work is expected to reach completion within approximately 4 weeks (April 5, 2021). There will be parking restrictions and barricaded areas as the work is being done. We ask ...that you please be patient as we work to complete this project. Sorry in advance for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions, concerns or requests related to the project, please contact the Village Office.
Just a friendly reminder that in order to avoid penalty, any amount owing on your property taxes are due and payable tomorrow Dec 31st. We will be closed at 12pm tomorrow but any payment posted by a bank, postage stamped, or dropped off at the office drop box (located to the left of the main doors) will not be penalized. For the new year, we also offer pre-authorized withdrawal that divides your property taxes into 12 to help with budgeting. The best time to start that is January.
