Loving Fall and the warm weather.

Boys and Girls Club of Truro and Colchester 12.08.2020

Imagine having your children removed from your home and sent away. Imagine being a child and being forced out of of your home and sent to a "school" where you had to forget everything about yourself, your family, your culture, even your clothes. Imagine never returning from that school. Imagine not knowing where your child was and never seeing them again.... We must remember, we must reflect, we must do better.

Since parents are unable to come inside, we wanted to share what the inside looks like now. Rooms have been cleared to support physical distancing. Each group has their own group name-ask your child which group they belong to.... And just a reminder that as you approach our back parking lot the speed limit is 10km and there is a stop sign on the corner of the building. We spend most of our time outside so please approach with caution.

In the event of a school closure tomorrow-Wednesday September 23rd, the Club will NOT be open. We will be sending out an email this week to see if there is enough interest to offer storm day services this year as at this point we are anticipating low registration.

Please use back parking lot and maintain social distancing from others. We ask that all children be picked up no later than 5 pm today. In the event of a power outage at the club, parents will need to pick their children up within 1 hour.

Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather tomorrow. We do not have access to the inside of the schools like we once did and we must wait outside the school until the bus is able to pick up.
