Eating disorders can be widely misunderstood; in part because of the specific images and ideas that the media spews about what a person with an eating disorder looks like. This lack of representation can cause people who do not fit that image to doubt whether or not they have an eating disorder because they feel they are not sick or thin enough. Feeling invalid only hurts more, and can make those suffering to not want to reach out to others for help because they're worried ab...out being told, based solely on their body size, that they aren’t sick enough to need help. The truth: the suffering that people can endure cannot be measured by body size. www.liberatednutrition.com @sydneygatward @instantly.classic @conceptphoto #edawareness #haes #allshapesandsizes #eatingdisordersdontdiscriminate #bodypositivity #youdeserverecovery #edrecovering #bodyacceptance #onlyoneyou #freedom #recovery #blossomplace #advocateforchange #fallinlovewithyourself #happinessinrecovery

Everyone has their own idea of what the perfect body looks like, but unfortunately we are heavily influenced by societal pressure’s and the media. Society’s expectations paint this false picture of what the ideal body is and tells us what kind of body image we should strive for. As a result, you can imagine this can create a lot of harm to many men and women and in some cases cause life threatening eating disorders and body dysmorphia. Body’s come in all shapes and size...s, and there is only one you so honour your authentic body and let’s make a difference together. @instantly.classic @conceptphoto #timetomakeachange #loveyourself #onlyoneyou #haes #bodypositivity #makeadifference #selfacceptance #mybody #fuckdietculture #blossomplace #edrecovery #bodyimage #eatingdisorderrecovery #mentalhealthawareness

Many different media platforms are starting to promote natural beauty and diversity, but unfortunately the ideal body image continues to dominate self-love and acceptance. It is important to remember Each body is unique, special and one of a kind. EveryBODY is beautiful just the way it is and nobody should be consumed with trying to live up to the beauty standards that the media glorifies. @instantly.classic @conceptphoto ... #eatingdisorderrecovery #onlyoneyou #bodypositivity #freedom #beyourself #fuckdietculture #edrecovering #edwarriors #blossomplace #advocateforchange #haes

A Letter to My Younger Self I am writing this in front of the mirror, where in it’s reflection, I am seeing myself for the first time at nineteen as the young man I can be proud of. For what has been most of my life, I’ve been in a body I didn't recognize or accept in it’s authenticity, and writing this to you now, know that those years of inauthenticity and shame are coming to a close. Standing in this moment in front of the mirror in a dress suit, I feel empowered and ...affirmed in who I am like I haven't before, and that alone is worth each moment of struggle before this that you will face. I would not be where I am and seeing who I see, had I not been where I've been. Therefore, each and every moment has and will happen for a reason, and so I’ll leave it there; no advice, no words of wisdom, no change, no guidance, just a letter written to say trust you're exactly where you need to be. @ronny_lekx December, 20, 2020 #transman #transgender #transcommunity #lgbtq #transrightsarehumanrights #blossomplace #lettertoyoungerself #bodypositivity #growth #freedom #onlyoneyou #recoveryispossible #eatingdisorderrecovery #edwarriors #edrecovery

it’s taken me a long time to accept my body the way it is. for years all i’ve done was try and change it to make it what society told me was beautiful. but what... society doesn’t take into account is that we’re human beings. we call come from different background and ethnicity which dictate the way our bodies are going to look. and non of them are bad or wrong. what i’m learning is that accepting my body as it is the only thing i can do combat this idea of beauty in our society. i’m far from loving my body, but i sure have come a hell of a long way. this photo speaks volumes. this is me. vulnerable, capable, beautiful. all bodies are unique and ALL bodies are good bodies. . . ‘ .’ . , ‘ .

It is without a doubt we all are experiencing a challenging time during COVID-19, During these last few months Blossom has worked hard to design the intensive online program for those struggling with an eating disorder. We have received a lot of emails and calls inquiring about this option, so we have listened and will now be able to reach more people through an online platform.
