Happy ECE Appreciation Day to all our staff! We are very grateful for our dedicated educators. Thank you ladies for making our centre a special place. You are the heart of BCA!

Happy Thanksgiving Unfortunately this year we were not able to have our annual Thanksgiving feast but we still had so much to be thankful for. Our Thanksgiving food drive was a huge success. Thanks to the generosity of our parents, we were able to donate food and essential items to our local food bank. We will always be thankful for the ongoing love and support we receive from our families and community. We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend, filled with love and happiness.

The first week back at our centre was a great success thanks to our amazing, dedicated educators. Thank you for all your hard work!

Happy Father's Day to our superdads!

Today was our second day since the centre re-opened and the past two days went exceptionally smooth. We enjoyed seeing our friends again at BCA! All children were excited to rejoin their classrooms and see their friends and teachers. The children enjoyed spending time outdoors on our new playground and exploring all the new outdoor toys we have. All toys/materials were sanitized after each use as noted in our policy, and the children practised distancing, with the help ...of our exceptional teachers. A huge thank you to our dedicated educators who are working very hard to maintain an environment that is safe, healthy and in the same time very much fun for the children! We wanted to thank all our amazing parents for respecting our Covid-19 policy measures and for being so understanding and accommodating during our daily screenings. We are starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel and together we can get through these uncertain times and jump in the truck of positivity ( See truck pictures below from our playground ). Sock matching and sock folding is the perfect Montessori activity to get your children to help out around the house. This Practical Life Activity teaches children about visual discrimination, matching, care of self, and assists with the development of fine motor skills.

One of our Montessori teachers adapted an activity to be accessible from your home! Spooning is an activity that develops focus, concentration, visual and fine motor development. The spooning work will also help a child master the three finger grip and thus prepare him for activities outside the Practical Life learning area. Thank you Ms. Cynthia for this wonderful activity!

One of our educators adapted a Montessori activity to be accessible from your home! Patterning is a basic mathematical skill upon which many other mathematical concepts are based such as addition, skip counting, times table and others. Learning to be proficient in identifying and creating patterns is the beginning of the mastery of life-long mathematical skills.

Happy Earth Day! Teaching our children to take care of our planet is one of the most important teaching units for all age groups. We are setting up a gardening corner in our playground for when our children return and can already picture what a happy corner it will be!
