Good Afternoon HSVS Family, We are excited to announce that as of Monday July 27th, 2020 we have started integrating ONE FAMILY MEMBER back in the clinic for appointments with a Veterinarian. At this time children will not be permitted to enter the clinic. As well, clients will not be allowed in the clinic for Technician appointments such as nails trims, anal glands etc. Note: Our bathroom will remain closed to the public. The following guidelines will be:... Please call us at 905-775-4787 when you have arrived for your appointment. Clients will be screened over the phone for COVID-19 symptoms by our Technicians. At this time, the Technician will also speak to the client about the health of their pet. When the Technician is finished and the client has passed a successful Covid-19 screening the Technician will escort ONE FAMILY MEMBER into the clinic. Clients must provide their own face coverings in order to enter the clinic. While clients are in clinic they will be asked to stay seated in their designated chair as the Veterinarian and Technician completes the examination. If any treatments are needed an estimate will be provided and agreed upon in the examination room. At this time the client will be invoiced out and will be asked to wait in their vehicle until treatments are complete. A Technician will bring the pet back out to the client. Pick up protocols: Are pickups for food, medication etc. will remain curbside. Please continue to call to make arrangement for pickups. Pickup times: Monday: 3pm-6pm Tuesday: 8am-10am Wednesday: 8am-10am and 3pm-5pm Thursday: No pick up times available Fridays: 8am-10am and 4pm-5pm Thank you so much for your continued patience. We are so excited to start seeing our clients again! Sincerely, The HSVS team

Have questions about your new puppy or kitten's overall health? This OVMA article covers it all! From vaccines to spaying/neutering they've got you covered!
Fecal testing goes beyond puppy and kitten years, and should be considered part of your pet's overall annual health screening. At Holland Street Vet, we now include a fecal screening at every annual visit. Intestinal parasites don't always show symptoms, and its important that your pet is treated so that your family is safe!
Happy #motivationmonday from Holland Street Vet! Monday's can be tough at the best of times, and sometimes you need to look at life from a different perspective.
It has been a very tough few weeks for us! We are all struggling to balance "normal life" to "covid life" and it's not easy! We have also experience loss recently. At HSVS we have struggled with you. Locked doors, protocol changes and even last-minute changes! We have taken pets inside without you present and given you updates on how the experience went without you. The pets have received plenty of treats and cuddles without you Please know that WE MISS YOU! We can't wait f...or the day that we are all reunited with the animals. We miss the personable client experience, the smiles, the thank yous, the successes, reunions, hugs, tears, chaos, laughter, ideas and solutions with our valued families. Once we have more guidance from the OVMA, Simcoe-Muskoka Health Unit and proper PPE we will be announcing the re-opening of in clinic services. This is our goal but the safety of staff and clients is of the utmost importance during a pandemic! If you have any other questions please contact us at [email protected] #hsvs #staysafe #covid19

We are heartbroken to say that our old man Mouse has crossed over the rainbow bridge today Mouse had been battling kidney disease for quite some time. We gave him the best retirement life full of shared lunches, extra treats, love and cuddles. He hated when it was medication or fluid time and would always give us the mad cat stare afterwards We will miss your handsome face Mousey Moo!! #rainbowbridge #hardestpart #hsvs
Hug your cat day show us those pretty kitties in the comments!
