*I choose to be a cause in your development.* This doesn't mean I'll ever get the permission to do so - consent is a must. Growth comes only from the inside-out - like a seed in healthy soil. It means I'm willing to be held accountable, and to hold other people accountable, to the language we use: body, tone, words.... Integrity is about being in communication about our language. Typically we do not think of warmth when we think of integrity, yet honouring our word builds trust. Language is powerful. Warmth + precision build trust. Trust is earned through seeing how we show up when trust is lost. It is not possible to keep our word 100% of the time. Antiracism is the word I have been looking for over 31 years, and it's embarrassing to think it took me this long to find, yet empowering to know what is about to become of my profession! What I have always wanted: a new economy, a gift economy. We are all coaches, therapists, teachers, doctors, leaders, etc. We need professionals in all areas of life. We need to share our gifts. I would not have been able to put the 5 screws in plate in my ankle alone! Thanks doc! What are your gifts? The purpose of this project is to raise resources (time, money, energy, action) for a charity/organization the group collectively agrees on, guided by a leader of the BLM movement in our community. At the same time, we will be exploring our own individual needs and how to meet them daily so we can have an even greater Ripple long-term with our prosocial intentions.

I've remained silent on this page, listening, learning, acting, and I finally feel I have enough information to make a Ripple. Stay Tuned. This movement needs rhythm to succeed. We are in this for the long haul, yet what we do today matters most. Please protest every day in some way. Wash your hands, and bring masks when you protest in groups. Charge your phones. Let's use this time wisely. There is no going back.
