There are few feelings greater than seeing a pediatric brain tumour patient overcome their diagnosis and pursue their life goals. It exemplifies hope, and the promise of bigger, better things. At Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, we want to do everything we can for our young community members. Living with a brain tumour and the after-effects of treatment aren’t easy, and neither is making the jump to post-secondary education. Our Youth Education Awards are here to help, and this year we are proud to announce EIGHT recipients!

A message from our CEO, Susan Marshall; I would like to personally thank everyone participating in the Virtual Brain Tumour Walk program for your generous support and passion to help. Thank you for asking your friends and family to donate during this difficult time. Thank you for taking up the 27 Canadians Challenge and for celebrating together with us tomorrow. Although we cannot be together physically, we are really excited and know it will be a great day.... We cannot wait to see how you will take your steps tomorrow. However you decide to take steps, please do so safely and adhering to physical distancing guidelines. I will be walking for my son Brent who passed away from a brain tumour at the age of 24. I will also be walking for the 55,000 Canadians who are currently affected by a brain tumour. My family and I will be taking our steps by walking the beautiful trail that surrounds the Mill Pond near our house.
