Watch a special video message of hope and healing this Friday, November 20 at 1 pm EST, from Russell M. Nelson, Prophet and President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Click on this link this Friday at 1 pm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlcILxGmVrI... This 11-minute video will focus on ways we can find hope and healing through Jesus Christ during this time of significant global fracture and instability. It will be published on President Nelson’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and on the Church’s main YouTube channel in 31 languages.*
I #GiveThanks for so many things, beginning with my gratitude to the Lord Jesus Christ. I am so thankful for His mercy and kindness and for His love for each of... us. I marvel at His matchless power to heal us from sadness, from sorrow, and, yes, from sin. He is the Master Healer. It is one of the many sterling attributes of His incomparable life. When we experience difficult trials, the best thing we can do is deepen our faith in God and serve others. Then He will heal our broken hearts. He will bless us with peace of mind. I assure you that Jesus Christ is our Savior and our Master Healer. Artwork by Carl Heinrich Bloch, Christ Healing the Sick at Bethesda, 1883

Ian and Adrienne Puddicombe have focused their lives on the temple, both at home and in the House of the Lord. Adrienne reflects, As each of our children graduated out of our home and we would enter the House of the Lord and witness them continue on their covenant path, we would say a quiet prayer of gratitude for the Lord’s guidance along the way. Recently, our youngest and last child entered the temple doors for the first time. The circle was complete.
As a man of science and as a man of faith the current worldwide pandemic has been of great concern to me. As a man of science I appreciate the critical need to ...prevent the spread of infection. As a man of faith, however, I view the current pandemic as only one of many ills that plague our world, including hate, civil unrest, racism, violence, dishonesty, and lack of civility. There is, however, a remedyone that may seem surprisingbecause it flies in the face of our natural intuitions. I am referring to the healing power of gratitude. So, dear friends, may I prescribe two activities to help us experience the healing power of gratitude. First, I invite youjust for the next seven daysto turn social media into your own personal gratitude journal. At the end of seven days see if you feel happier and more at peace. Tag your friends in your social media posts and invite them to participate as well. We’ll use the hashtag #GiveThanks. Second, let us unite in thanking God through daily prayer. Jesus Christ taught His disciples to pray by first expressing gratitude to God and then petitioning Him for the things we need. Prayer brings forth miracles.
When Jesus Christ was born, angels proclaimed, On earth peace, good will toward men (Luke 2:14). This December, the promise remains the same. As we love and serve each day the way Jesus did, we can end 2020 on a hopeful note. https://www.comeuntochrist.org/light-the-world-2020
Global faith leader Russell M. Nelson, President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, shares the way you can find hope and healingno matter your circumstances. Next Friday, tune in at 11:00 a.m. MST to hear a special message for the world.
Gratitude provides us with a greater perspective on the very purpose and joy of life. In his 96 years of life, President Russell M. Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has seen almost everythinga Great Depression, a world war, and a global pandemic, to name a few. And he would like to propose one remedy that can help us find joy in hard times: gratitude. #GiveThanks Practicing gratitude may not prevent us from experiencing sorrow, anger, or pain, but... it can help us look forward with hope. We can give thanks for our loved ones, for our bodies and minds, for music and literature, for the beauty of the natural world. President Nelson suggests three ways you can #GiveThanks in your own life: 1) Turn social media into your own gratitude journal. 2) Say a prayer of gratitude. 3) Build your relationship with Jesus Christ. By counting our blessings, we can more fully appreciate and enjoy our lives as we work toward greater unity, kindness, honesty, and tolerance. Visit PowerofGratitude.org to learn more.
