Big announcement from the province regarding funding for children and youth! We are interested to hear how the new format will roll out; hopefully continued services for those currently receiving support with expanded services for those who may not currently be eligible! If you have not seen this already the original announcement link is in comments below.... ACT BC has posted a link for families to submit questions. see ACT BC's post below; "BC's Ministry of Children and Family Development has just announced an end to the Autism Funding Programs and school-age extended therapy benefits, effective 2025. There are very few details of what will replace the program; the lack of specifics is likely to cause parents significant anxiety. However, there is time to develop a community response to this initiative the first step is to see whether MCFD has a detailed plan that can be analyzed. ACT will work with our community partners across disabilities, including the Representative for Children and Youth, to prepare detailed questions for Minister Mitzi Dean. To read the Ministry announcement and find a form that will allow you to provide feedback to ACT, please follow the link to our website."
