Oh Snap Photography With Brandie

How is it possible that it is almost the middle of March already??? I am loving the warmer weather and can't wait till things start to green up. But there is something to be said for these golden brown tones we get between winter and spring. Miss J is turning 11 on the 16th! How is it possible that my baby is that old already. I am so very thankful that I get to capture these milestones with my kiddos. Miss J is definitely my most willing participant, though that is fleetin...g at times. Last night she let me capture a few photos for her birthday. She is becoming such a beautiful young lady and is so independent. I can no longer just hand her a dress... she is very much inserting her own style into what she wears. I am so glad she still lets me buy her dresses, though she has final say on what we pair with them! Here are a few from last night! Out of curiosity.. do you like before and afters of the edits? Changing things up in my studio space! Huge thank you to my dad for helping me wallpaper, I love how the brick turned out! Looking to add a few more touches, what would you add to the space??? Pampas grass? Pillows? Throw?? Now to work out a quick Easter set up!

Is there a spot or room in your house that you absolutely love. A place that just calms your soul. For me, it my spare room... I just finished redoing in and now I want to redo the entire house. It is just such a calm, warm space. I could lose my self there all day. Now that may also be because it is clean and clutter free, lol. I fully admit I love things and have way to many of them. I am a sucker for pieces of decor and furniture that have history or just plain speak to m...e. I also have a hard time getting rid of said things, though I am trying really hard to get better at it. So this week I am redoing the studio, and will be attempting to reorganize and declutter Wish me luck (I will need it'll). Luckily for me Miss J was willing to humour me, and I managed snap a few pics this afternoon. I love the tone and feel of these. The brush set she is using was a set that belonged to an amazing lady who meant the world to my mom. Rene was a feisty redhead who wasn't afraid to speak her mind and we all miss her so much. I am saddened that my kids never got the chance to meet her. My sisters and I have some wonderful memories of our time spent with her in Montana! Sometimes its the smallest things that trigger the most wonderful memories!
