Welcome to "Flash Back Fridays". This week we look back at Chelsea Woodmass in this Nov 24, 2003 article from the Brandon Sun. Chelsea represented us very well, winning 5 medals (1 gold and 4 silver) at Junior Nationals between 1999 and 2005.

Covid-19 has shut down our sport until further notice... what a great time to look back at some of the rich history of racquetball in Brandon. Check out this Dec 20, 2009 article from the Brandon Sun.

All of Manitoba goes "Code Red" as of Nov 12. As most of you will realize this means that the Sportsplex will be closed to the public and our Youth Racquetball Program will be on hold until the situation Improves. We are hoping for a quick reduction in the spread of Covid and then of course a return to our programs. Please stay safe and do your part to be "part of the solution"!

The Brandon Racquetball Association was saddened to learn of the passing of long time racquetball player and junior coach Mike Volek. Mike and his wife Linda were instrumental in the development of Brandon’s Junior Racquetball Program through much of the 90’s and early 2000’s. This included coaching numerous Brandon Junior Players to Junior National Championships and at the World Junior Racquetball Championships. One of the culminations of Mike and Linda’s success was when Br...andon played host to the Canadian Junior Racquetball Championships in 1999. The event was hosted between the Sportsplex and the YMCA with 62 juniors on Team Manitoba. In 2005, Mike and Linda were awarded Racquetball Canada’s Marc Caouette Award for their significant contributions to junior programs and athletes. Our sincere condolences to Mike’s family and friends at this time.
