I never think about aesthetics, It's only once the problem is solved, that I think about beauty, if it's not beautiful, I know it's wrong. This brandmark was Inspired by HANDFUELS less is more approach to creating a snack that keeps you energized without the additives and preservatives. And although a brand is so much more than its mark, sometimes thats where it begins. before understanding experience at every scale and every touchpoint.
When HANDFUEL told us they made healthy nut-based snacks that were over the top delicious, we thought they were lying.Then we tried them. The flavours were so incredible we had to find a way to communicate that difference at shelf. So we found a sweet spot between taste appeal and health consciousness to break away from conventional food package design, creating a visual language and iconic, memorable pack that stands out at shelf and creates appetite appeal up close.
Although we work collaboratively with clients, we sometimes happen upon a client that let's us do what we do best. Create desire, curiosity, and of course brands. It's rare, most clients want to have a say in every detail. And you designers know what I'm talking about. Love this note from the sales team regarding a new brand and packaging we just created. I had to capture it, as a reminder of what can happen when you let people do what they do, best.

Many entrepreneurs believe you need to research an idea before launching a brand to safeguard the investment and make predictions about how well it will do before it hits the market. And others launch new ideas all the time knowing that the only way to test a new idea is in real time is with real circumstances and with real people. So how do you know if something will take off or if it will fail? Launch prototypes! Place them in environments where your buyers will see, taste and smell it. If it's a new brand and package, create mock-ups, place it on the shelves and observe. .
