Monday - 6:00 Jump class - includes balance and mobility warm up and a cool down stretch Tuesday - 6:00 Jump class - emphasis on strength, core exercises and stability movements Wednesday - 6:00 Ballet with Nichol Thursday - 6:00 Jump class - emphasis on cardio and repetition of drills and exercises Saturday - 9:00 am - yoga/stretch class

Today it has been announced by Premier Doug Ford that Ontario has been placed into lockdown . We were hoping this was not going to be the case. Unfortunately it is now the reality. Wednesday December 23 will be our last day of skating . Skating will resume as soon as the City of Brantford arenas can safely and legally reopen . BSC will advise when we have more information. STAY SAFE

Early Winter Registration is now closed. Late Winter Registration will be available in December for the January to March Session.

BSC Destination Idol Postponed Dear all, We have been quite concerned this week about the prospect that Brantford may be moved to Covid zone red on Monday December 21st. We were hopeful, but unfortunately our worst fears came to par yesterday. Brantford’s increasing Covid cases mean that we must have tighter restrictions at the rink for everyone’s health and safety. What does this mean for skating?... 10 skaters on the ice 1 parent/guardian per child in the rink While we would love to push ahead and continue to run Destination Idol, the event would not be the same with smaller teams, minimal audience, no announcer and no cameraman. The fun atmosphere would be strained and the ice rental due to the additional teams needed would be too prohibitive. We are so sad to postpone this event. The leaders have been working so hard and the excitement and team spirit was buzzing. Please know that Destination Idol is only postponed until we go back into orange zone again. It is not cancelled. What can we do next week to create a Christmas atmosphere and raise our spirits? Christmas Cheer Choreography Challenge Wed. 23rd December On Wednesday 23rd December, instead of Destination Idol, we will return to our Wednesday skating schedule (red zone Wednesday skaters only). Prior to the Wednesday sessions, one volunteer skater or coach per session will choreograph 30 seconds of an assigned Christmas carol. On the Wednesday December 23rd sessions, they will then teach the choreography to their session and participate in a videoed performance of it. Each Wednesday session will be assigned a different 30 seconds. Choreography will be filmed and the final product will be a collage of choreography pieces which will be joined together to create a fun skating Christmas Carol. Interested skater choreographers need to contact me immediately at: [email protected] With the following information: Full name Wednesday 23rd December session time I will then assign you your 30 second segment. Our carols are: All I want for Christmas Jingle Bell Rock We will also be filming warm-up stroking only at the following sessions next week: Monday 21st - 4.50-5.40pm (Star ) Monday 21st - 6.10-7.00pm (Can 6/Star 1) Tuesday 22nd - 4.50-5.40pm (Star ) Tuesday 22nd - 6.10-7.00pm (Can 6/Star 1) At these sessions, we will not be filming choreography. We will be filming warm up stroking only. No preparation is needed for the Monday & Tuesday times for coaches or skaters. Costumes for Wednesday 23rd and select Monday 21st & Tuesday 22nd sessions will be ugly Christmas sweaters, anything red, white or green or anything Christmas! We want to look festive for the camera!
