Please consider donating to a fundraiser for Special Olympics Ontario Brantford in honour of Jim Dignan. Thank you!
Remembering a much loved and respected member of our CYO Basketball family. Dignan family, you are in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.
We sure are missing basketball but we don't want your player to miss out on staying physically active and in shape for when we do get back on the court! We'd like to share a great at-home training program from Athlete Farm Training... AFT's at-home training program is for players looking to take their game and athleticism to the next level. ... Delivered through an online platform and mobile app, this basketball centered training program focuses on increasing a player's overall athleticism through a variety of exercises that will challenge and improve their power, strength, balance and mobility. At only $35, the 4 week program includes 4 training sessions per week and can be completed at a time that is convenient for your family. Once purchased, you create an account at the link below and your program will be uploaded into an online calendar making it easy to track and record their progress. Each training session takes between 45-60 minutes to complete and only minimum equipment required: skipping rope broomstick or dowel towel To ensure player safety, each exercise includes a video demonstrating proper technique and amount of reps and sets to be completed. We first want to thank you all for your patience and understanding as we continue to work through these constantly changing and uncertain times. Unfortunately we must announce that due to limited facilities available to offer any programming at this time, we have no choice but to officially cancel our basketball season and any possibility of in-person skills sessions. Wishing you all good health and hope for a safe return to play in September. ... #cyobasketball #brantfordbasketball #basketball #covid_19 #update
Welcome 2021! As we eagerly usher in this new year, please take a moment to reflect on a year of challenges and change. Remember that the past is for learning from mistakes, the present is for embracing a new day, and the future is for hope and planning. We continue to learn from the challenges that 2020 presented our organization and our entire basketball family. ... Our hope is that 2021 will see a safe return to play sooner rather than later. Until we can make that happen, please stay safe and be kind. Wishing you all health, happiness, and prosperity in the new year ahead.
Sending the warmest wishes for a safe and merry Christmas to all our Falcons and their families.
#DidYouKnow...the first game of basketball was played 129 years ago today?

Wishing our Falcons and families a very safe and happy Halloween
We hope you all had a safe and happy Thanksgiving with your families! After careful consideration and out of extreme caution for everyone involved, we have decided to pull back at this time and pause. We had originally hoped to begin a form of play/skills in mid-October but with new precautions being issued almost daily, we believe this is the right thing to do at this time. We will be monitoring the ongoing situation and look forward to a safe return to play as soon as poss...ible. Thank you all for your support and patience as we continue to work through this together.
Wishing all our players, coaches, volunteers, and families a very Happy Thanksgiving We are thankful for all of you. What are you thankful for?
More information about tryouts is coming soon. Stay tuned!
