Exciting news! Our brand new kiln was delivered to the studio today. Can’t wait until we can open back up and get her firing.

It is with regret that the following announcement is made. As a result of the Province-wide shutdown , the BPG studio will be closed to all users from 8pm on Wednesday 23rd of December until further notice. If accessing the studio before then, please continue to adhere to all regulations concerning booking, masking, sign-in and maximum numbers (10).... 1. The final unload of glaze and bisque will be done on the morning of December 23rd. No further firings will be done until re-opening. Collect your work before the shutdown. 2. The most recent clay orders are being collected from PSH on Tuesday 22nd and will be available for pick-up late Tuesday and on Wednesday. 3. Rosalie will be at the studio from 5 pm. to 8 pm. on Wednesday December 23rd to provide a final opportunity for clay purchases and pick-up of work. 4. The door code will be changed 8pm December 23rd and re-issued to studio members on re-opening, subject to a signed Waiver. 5.. January lessons are postponed until further notice. By adding a second glaze dip one can achieve unique glaze colours. This tester shows (from L-R) a first coat line of Red Brick/ Shino/ Oatmeal/ Munzar White - all with a second dip of Field Mouse.

Experimenting with doing double dippers; Both testers have half Matte Black/ Half Metallic Black and then a second glaze coat - 1st one using Shino, the 2nd one using Field Mouse on top. Notice the change in colours ;)
