Bravo Niagara! Presents Robi Botos: Romani Experience JUNO Award-winning multi-instrumentalist and composer Robi Botos takes you on a deeply personal journey through the story of his heritage. Born and raised in Budapest prior to bringing his family to Canada, Botos has remained dedicated in his efforts of bringing the often forgotten history of the Roma genocide during the Holocaust to the surface. Through a suite of selections from his acclaimed score from 'A People Uncount...ed' and the debut of a new piece commissioned by Bravo Niagara!, Botos' glimpse into his heritage with a call for justice for his people will be told through his unmistakable sound that will resonate with all generations. Robi Botos, piano Mike Downes Music, bass Larnell Lewis Music, drums This concert is presented as part of Bravo Niagara!'s Voices of Freedom Festival: Sounds of Hope, a new initiative to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the end of the Holocaust.

Speaker Spotlight: Marilyn Sinclair To open Bravo Niagara!'s new Sounds of Hope program tomorrow evening, we are proud to partner with Liberation75 and welcome the organization's Founder Marilyn Sinclair as moderator of Holocaust Families: What We Learned from Elie Wiesel presented by Bravo Niagara! & Liberation75. Thank you to all who have registered from around the globe - Canada, the US, Israel, Switzerland, the Netherlands, South Africa and more! November 24 @ 8PM EST //... Register here: https://bit.ly/soundsofhope-eliewiesel Marilyn Sinclair is a child of a Holocaust survivor and the Founder of Liberation75: The largest global gathering to commemorate the 75th anniversary of liberation from the Holocaust. Almost 10,000 people were registered to attend Liberation75 when COVID postponed the event until 2021. Liberation75 has been running virtual programs in partnership with other organizations since April. Marilyn is Past Chair of the Neuberger Holocaust Education Centre, and she Co-Founded Dialogue for Descendants for children of survivors in Toronto. She represents Canada on the Claims Conference Board and on the Next Generation Council of the USC Shoah Foundation. In her professional life, Sinclair is CEO of ALL ABOUT WORDS, a language services company; and Secretariat Central, an Association Management Company. Sinclair was named one of Canada’s Top 100 Women Entrepreneurs and she was recently awarded the BMO Celebrating Women: Community and Charitable Giving Award. He holds two honorary doctoral degrees and served on the Pulitzer music jury four times, including for the first jazz winner, Wynton Marsalis’ Blood on the Fields.
