No one is perfect! You scroll through Instagram or Facebook and see all these perfect bodies. You see people living perfect lives. ... Sitting on cars that aren’t theirs, photoshopping their bodies and showing a fake a life. You can’t compare your life to pictures of people you see on social media. The same goes for when you see someone doing extreme exercises. You have to remember you only see 5-20 seconds of that exercise. It probably took that person multiple shots along with years of practice and dedication! Focus on yourself! Compare yourself to where you used to be, not to what someone is doing on Instagram or Facebook.

How long should I rest between sets? This is a common question and there is not just one single answer for this. It varies from exercise, body parts and even the person. You can look at a heart rate chart or pictures they have in the gym that give you a number of how long you "should" rest for, but these numbers aren't for everyone. ... In some cases you might not have a choice of how long you rest for if you are attending a bootcamp or any other fitness class. So we will make this for when you are working out alone, lifting weights or wine bottles in your living room. In most cases there shouldn't be a set amount of time you should rest for. You should rest until you feel you can go again at almost 100% so you can push hard through your next set. Your body is made to recover and it will do so as quickly as it can. Listen to your body, not Jonny in the corner of the gym snacking on a protein bar. When you exercise and move around you start to learn more about your body. If you go all out when you first start your workout you might feel like you can't go anymore or like you have already done enough, which is not the case! The only way this may be true is if you have a low tolerance and are just getting back into a workout routine or just starting and your body can't take that much stimulus. If you don't push to your full capacity you will never know how much you can really do. Listen to your body, learn your body and try your best everyday! . . . . . . #fitness #gym #workout #fit #fitnessmotivation #motivation #bodybuilding #training #health #fitfam #lifestyle #sport #healthy #torontofit #toronto #healthylifestyle #gymlife #instagood #personaltrainer #exercise #muscle #weightloss #gymmotivation #mobility #fitspo #instafit #bhfyp

How long should I work out for or spend in the gym? The length of time in the gym says nothing about your workout. The length of time has nothing to do with the quality of the workout. You can spend too much time and end up trading quality for quantity. ... The length of workout has very little do do with how you are going to look or how you are going to feel. It is more to do with the quality and effort of your workout. In order for you to get the most out of your workouts it all comes down to intent. You have to be "in the workout" (focused & present). You have to focus on the quality of your reps and contractions rather then just going through the motions.

How do you keep that fire going inside of you? How to stay motivated? Is motivation even real? Motivation is important because it is what drives you and can be that spark to get you started and change your perspective on many things, but at some point it starts to go away. Once your motivation runs out what do you do? Do you continue to push yourself? Or do you go back to your old ways and bad habits? What we should do is use that motivation to create good habits and rewire o...ur brain to help to push us forward rather than go back into old ways. Creating these habits will give us routine and help us move forward when we don’t feel motivated. Motivation is like a muscle, if you are always working it, it's going to run out. Motivation is not something that lasts forever, it usually just comes and goes in spurts. You can read as many quotes or watch as many videos as you want if that will help you, but that feeling inside from the quotes and videos only lasts for a short period of time. Your goals are what should be keeping you motivated and if they aren’t you need to rethink your goals!
